This is digging in 2021’s archives…

As much as I can, I’m trying to share peeks of our progress at the Georgian. I showed you where we are in our bedroom, sitting room, and bath renovation HERE, and we’ll be customizing our walk-in closet in the coming weeks. Hope it goes smoothly so I can get reveal posts created for the whole suite!

The design elements I chose for the bath are classic, coastal, traditional ingredients that will hopefully still feel relevant years from now. When you’re doing all the work yourself, you do NOT want to think about changes in the near future!

I have been navigating a chapter of grief from real problems you can’t throw money at and watch disappear. I shared a collection of quotes about despair here. While I’m not suffering from depression, growing pains of spiritual and personal transformation are very real and weigh on my heart, joining it with so many others across the land.

Incredibly Romantic Country French Kitchen Tour
If French country style and romantic Old World charm float your boat, then these pale country French paint colors may appeal!

My own kitchen still needs some final finishing touches so I’m taking my time before doing a big reveal. Those take thought, styling, energy, and clean clothes, and my wardrobe is covered in paint at the moment as I update our family room.

I went with cooler colors in our kitchen, but I love a wondrous warm French country look too!

How about you? Does your kitchen reflect you and your favorite color? Is it green?

Design books are one of my indulgences, and if you love American style, I bet you’ll find something in THIS.

I’m a summer girl, so while I love spring, it can still be a brutal season in my neck of the woods (hail storms, snow, tornadoes and strong winds that compel me to search ‘noise cancelling headphones’ on Amazon).

So I tend to jump ahead often in my posts….anticipating summer…anticipating the holidays, etc. But my favorite posts are TIMELESS. It’s why I love Belgian design:

and everything my friend Greet does (SEE HER HOME in THIS where I dare to suggest we can approach this look for our own humble homes by studying what is working in hers.)

Cozy kitchens are also a favorite here (and I know I always seem to post ten times as many kitchens as say living rooms or dining rooms, but they are the living room for so many of us!). Find tips for adding coziness HERE.

Speaking of the UK, there was a season where Cotswold cottages would not move from my consciousness!

Escape to the wonder of them HERE.

What is it about those couple of centuries old stone cottages and cozy interiors!?! They always convince me I could live in a tiny space as long as I have a big comfy bed:

and a few of my favorite belongings:

That was my breakfast nook years ago, and our dining room in the Georgian looks like this:
