An ivory area rug anchors stunning pieces which include a table draped in a hand-crocheted wool tablecloth. Michael Del Piero envisioned the iron daybed in this rear bedroom as a versatile piece to also double as a sofa. The spacious and luxurious bedroom boasts a seating area with Jan Ekselius lounge chairs, a 17th-century armchair, and a marble-topped round concrete coffee table. A rustic wood console makes the perfect pedestal for a tropical planting and African stone beads. The beautiful chaos and impossibly airy salvage metal chandelier illuminates the space as a work of art by Lucy Sivinski.

I LOVE TO SEE MODERN APPLIANCES, AND APPLIANCES THAT ARE MADE FOR EASY CLEANING, AND I DO LOVE TO SEE DWELLINGS THAT ARE MADE HANDICAPPED, ELDERLY, SENIOR CITIZEN FRIENDLY. THERE ARE STAIR LIFTS NOW AVAILABLE TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THESE INSTALLED. LET US SAY, YOU HAVE A VISITOR/FRIEND/RELATIVE TO VISIT WITH YOU IN A WHEELCHAIR, YOU WOULD WANT THEM TO FEEL COMFORTABLE AND INDEPENDENT. I FEEL THAT ALL RESTORATION SHOULD INCLUDE THESE POINTS. ONE THING I HATE IS TO HAVE A DWELLING RESTORED ON THE EXTERIOR, AND ON THE INTERIOR MAKE IT TOTALLY AND DISGUSTINGLY MODERN.
