19 French Farmhouse Kitchens & Ideas to Get the Look!
European Country Style Bespoke Kitchen
Here’s a bespoke kitchen in the Cotswolds with beautifully modern rustic style evoking (at least for me!) elements of French farmhouse style.

French Farmhouse Kitchen in Houston
Ruth Gay’s Houston kitchen built with authentic reclaimed materials from Chateau Domingue only appears to be an ancient one in France!

French Farmhouse Kitchen Storage
Near the village of Cairanne, this pale cupboard in a French farmhouse kitchen stores everyday essentials as well as decorative objects.

Breakfast Dining in a Charming Kitchen With Fireplace
Can French farmhouse design feel charming and established even within a new build on a farm in California? Oui. When it’s Patina Farm!

Rustic Elegant French Farmhouse Kitchen Design Ideas With Photos of Pale, Neutral, White Interiors. European country style and country French decor as well as Nordic French interior design inspiration.
Simplicity in a Humble White Kitchen
While this Tennessee kitchen is a more modern interpretation of “farmhouse,” its simplicity and mix of humble materials is certainly suggestive of those from a bygone era.

Luxurious Materials in a European Country Kitchen
I might describe this Artichoke designed bespoke kitchen as ‘luxuriously decadent French farmhouse’ since it is infused with high end materials whilst also boasting specialized finishes and exceptionally well-crafted design elements.

Bright & Airy 1600’s Kitchen
An enchanting French Nordic style kitchen in a Cotswolds cottage illustrates the power of white and bright! Additionally, it’s a lesson in rustic elegance.

That same kitchen’s sink wall boasts open shelving constructed from salvaged elm wood and charmingly romantic rustic wood beams to boot!

Light Blue Inspiration in a Kitchen With French Country Influence
While neither rustic nor located in the French countryside, this light blue kitchen in an Atlanta showhouse reflects a pale color palette as well as a decidedly timeless romanticism we often note in French country kitchens.

Designer Lauren DeLoach shared with me the old glazed platters (Ridgeway) she found for this wall near the sink were the perfect muted blue color. Further, she has never seen others like them!

Rustic & Modern in a Farmhouse Kitchen in France
It’s not as easy as you might imagine to score photos of authentic French farmhouse kitchens in France, and the one below may surprise you with its modernity. We see rustic wood ceiling beams and stone flooring, yet there are also a number of modern elements including an overhead microwave, large immobile island, and acrylic counter stools.

Nordic French Style in a Country Kitchen Outside of France
French farmhouse style kitchens with Nordic influences are my personal favorite, and just in case white on white pleases your eye…

White Nordic French farmhouse kitchen design ideas and inspirational photos…certainly lovely indeed. French country inspired kitchens with rustic stone and European antiques as well as weathered finishes, and linen.
Red as an Accent in a French Farmhouse Kitchen
Here’s proof positive that an appetizing red can work magic in a French country kitchen…this one’s in Vers-Pont-du-Gard.

Function Before Form as a French Kitchen Principle
The French understand PURPOSEFUL decor and since space is most often limited, objects must do double or triple duty. In this American kitchen with Nordic French design, we see such a sensibility modeled beautifully.

Rusticity & Open Shelving in a French Gustavian Inspired Kitchen
A French farmhouse style kitchen with rustic reclaimed wood ceilings in a new build in Utah has Gustavian influences and charm to spare!

Pendant Lights With Farmhouse Style
Farmhouse style pendant lights over the island often make a strong statement while they also set a more casual tone than say, chandeliers dripping with crystals.

Notice how industrial farmhouse pendants (below) bring a casual simplicity to the lofty space.

Decorative Plates on a French Country Kitchen Wall
Plates with varying patterns fill the wall of this authentic country kitchen in France and feel fresh and graphic.

You’re a gem and so kind, thank you! I do love thrifting but had no luck this week. I went away saying…gimme the new!!!
I didn’t even get out thrifting (though I dearly wanted to) because the idea of getting out to shop just for fun in weather with a wind chill feeling like -35F just didn’t make much sense. LOL!
