Ever dreamed of moving to France? I have shared glimpses of my blog pal Taste of France’s luxurious vacation rental in ‘the other South of France’ HERE, and to get a sense of the cost and a feel for living in Southwest France, check this out:
Fabulous French Grey Paint Color
While the sentiment of the following silly pinnable isn’t French, the background sort of is. The color is Farrow & Ball’s Pavilion Gray, a very French sort of grey that closely resembles the custom grey paint hue the Giannettis used on trims at Patina Farm (see glimpses RIGHT HERE). Since it made me smile, I thought you might enjoy pinning it!

Daily Transformation Inspiration
French farmhouse rustic elegant beauty undeniably lifts my spirits, but it’s love in action that frees my soul and compels me to let unexpected loveliness from my personal life spill over into this blog.
My heart is full of the Mystery this morning, lovely ones. Yesterday was this immense blessing spent with someone very dear to me whose breast cancer has returned. We have been spiritually journeying together for years, and she is a bright light for me in profound ways. She has my heart, I have hers, and even though we can’t see the future, we keep showing each other the face of God and pointing to the moon (the very same moon under which Christ wept in Gethsemane).
Moments after my friend and I hugged goodbye, the call came that my mom’s tumor markers are elevated. The cancer may have returned. We’re concerned and deflated but not defeated. Both my mom and my friend have PET scans this week, and if you’re the praying type, we covet your prayers. I believe prayers are not only heard but also add a transforming sweetness and purity to the atmosphere.
A theme to which I often return since it is etched upon my heart and bears repeating is this: There can be healing in the absence of cure, friends. My own healing has rarely resembled what I expected or desired. Rather, the healing that comes brings wholeness where there were splintered fragments, peace where there was unrest, and compassion where there was none.
The wounded places in us long for light, and I’m sending beams of it with mercy to you, lovely friends.
