Virtual Farmhouse Tours
I enjoy taking these virtual vacations to the French countryside and hope you too will find the rustic simplicity and easy elegance a reprieve from any stress which may drain your energy or dampen your mood.
The season of winter with all its dormancy can at times weigh down the spirit. Gentle escapes where my imagination turns to how I might decorate a particular room or to the warmth of a sunny French courtyard or garden, are welcome and help to ease the chill. Designfreaks and nest-y homebodies understand!
In my last post, I shared the power of experiencing tropical warmth…without traveling terribly far! Read that ditty here.
If you haven’t discovered my growing quotes board on Pinterest HERE, do give it some love (pretty please!) and repin to your heart’s desire!

Delicious yellows mingle with the warmth of wood, clean lines, and airy expanses of white. Notice how there is an absence of weight from any wall cabinets and how natural light floods the space.

What a stunning getaway and loving those summery shots – sunshine, warm, pool….I am ready! I am also completely caught by the Don Draper quote and it is pinned to the board! Have a beautiful day Michele!

Let’s bypass March’s lion and and lamb and go straight to tropical temps and lemonade! Thanks for playing along, lovely one.
Yes, anything to escape this winter freeze. After 15 years living in the 4 seasons, looking forward to winter and always being a little sad to see it go, I’m over it this year! Thank you for the virtual escape, especially to France!

I’m over it too and need to get power walking and smell freshly cut grass! Thanks for taking time to visit me here, friend!
Hi Michele,
I just stumbled across your blog and before I knew it an hour had flown by while I read through old posts and enjoyed re-pinning your photos and quotes. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon! I feel as if I’ve just met a kindred spirit. I too have a Master’s in Counseling (currently have a small private practice), a fixer upper DIY soul, and a husband willing & able to take on just about any Pinterest project I set my sights on! I view my obsession with decorating & renovation projects as the perfect antidote to the days in the counseling room, but in another sense I appreciate the similarities between the two. It’s all about creating beauty and restoration. God making all things new and letting us be part of the work with Him. LOVE your design style, both the modern farmhouse and the French country! You obviously put a lot of time and thought and love into Hello Lovely and I want to thank you for sharing it.
Warmly,
Jana

I’m so glad you found me, Jana! Thank you for the kind words which simply made my day. What a blessing when we feel seen! I look forward to discovering your blog and learning about your lovely practice. ‘Letting us be part of the work with Him’ is such a powerful notion – and I thank you for directing my heart and mind to the heights where they belong. xox
