Get the Look! Sarah Richardson Red Guest Room
In her latest project, Sarah Richardson’s new off the grid home in Ontario, we have been scoring all sorts of fresh inspiring ideas. Have you been able to view episodes of the Canadian HGTV series? I have watched videos here and there. Today we’ll explore sources of IDENTICAL HOME DECOR AND FURNISHINGS Sarah incorporated in the red cottage style guest bedroom in this beautiful home.(Affiliate links follow, won’t cost you extra, yet I’ll earn a few pennies.)
Sarah’s charming guest bedroom has a mix of fresh modern pieces and a modern country cottage feel. The textural wall covering and horizontal paneling add a lot of interest, as does the repetition of a beautiful bold red print fabric Sarah combines with solids on the bed, and a hushed blue leafy pillow on the bed. I love how Sarah kept things cozy, country, and casual, without a result which feels boring and expected. There is a fresh American vibe (or Canadian!) in here, and I have the sense this space will not feel dated in a few years. You can achieve a similar look by taking Sarah’s cue: add matching night tables and lamps, mix print patterns, and outfit a vintage dresser with bold white knobs (always a classic country cottage style look). If cottage style or modern country decor floats your boat, you’re in for a treat!
I love how the texture of this lamp is like a chunky knit sweater!
I haven’t located the exact mirror yet, but this weathered-look would work well too:
This parquet wood topped console has a similar feel:
Not sure if this is the exact wallcovering, but it is similar:
