You have been responding so positively to Sarah Richardson’s latest project: an off-the-grid house in Ontario packed with decorating ideas and affordable home decor that as promised, I’m sharing more sources…this time for her daughter Robin’s beautiful blue bedroom and bath.

It’s fun to consider the exact sources of Sarah Richardson’s design and to discover we too can achieve a similar look by incorporating a few of the design elements. I love Sarah’s way with freshly mixing fabrics and finishes, and in her daughter Robin’s room, she combines geometrics with bold florals and stripes for a classic result.
Isn’t the built-in window seat across from the bed adorable in this blue bedroom? And Sarah has managed to create other seating areas including two chairs by a window, a little desk area, and a bold blue ceramic stool. The wainscot adds charming architectural interest and is refreshingly placed on the horizontal with its wide planks. Warm wood floors and belly baskets add rustic moments that keep the femininity balanced.
I don’t often spotlight kids rooms on Hello Lovely…frankly, I don’t often discover examples that resonate, but here’s a room with traditional, vintage, and transitional style with timeless appeal for a growing girl. I love this room Sarah has designed for her daughter Robin in which to make memories and grow up. (See more of Sarah Richardson’s off the grid home beginning here.)
Let’s explore Sarah Richardson’s daughter Robin’s blue bedroom today, and in most cases, you’ll find links to the exact home decor used in the room. I hunted them down, checking all the resource guides I could find on Sarah’s site and HGTV Canada (which were not up to date or accurate in many cases) and then powershopping on my own. For a few bathroom elements, there are suggestions for similar fixtures. At the end of the post, you’ll find a resource guide for almost everything you see here!

What a great bedroom for girls! So many special touches. The bathroom is my favorite though. Just exquisite. Happy Thanksgiving my friend!

Can’t stop staring at it — so classic! Happy Thanksgiving, beautiful. 🙂
Can you please provide the wall color for Robin’s beautiful blue walls?
Thank you
.

I sure wish I could come up with that paint color. What I have found is that it looks different in all sorts of images which have been edited. I recommend visiting the paint counter, bringing home some swatches you like that seem similar, and having them at hand as you watch the episode of “Sarah Off the Grid” called “Designing Daughters” which has lots of coverage of Robin’s room. I was able to watch it on HGTV after signing in with my TV provider. Hope this helps. 🙂
Thankyou. I have watched designers daughters a few times. Even tried to catch a glimpse of the fan deck color when it was on the floor laid out when selecting the color. The show even stated that it was lightened. I have emailed Sarah Richardson’s design twice. No reply. Tried every angle to obtain this beautiful blue. Thank you for your reply.
Author
Thank you for this background info – that makes sense that it was lightened since it looks different depending on the photo/video we view. I’ll keep working on possibilities for you.
Its a possiblity that Robin’s bathroom wall color could be the same as her bedroom wall??? Can’t seem to locate the name of the bathroom color either.
Author
I would imagine it is the same color! 🙂
Found the bathroom color. It is Dulux: wall paint (90BG 72/038 – ethereal), Maybe Robin’s wall color is the same?
Author
Hurray! I couldn’t find any Dulux color named Ethereal, but the code that you mention here corresponds to Steel Symphony 6 which is a gorgeous, muted, tranquil blue I would love to try as well! Thank you so much for helping us all get closer to the color. I have a feeling we are going to find colors we admire even more than whatever it is Sarah used on those bedroom walls!

Under the source guide, it shows the color used. Etheral with that code shows up in a very very old fan deck as a soft blue. The new fan deck shows Etheral as a beige color.
I hope this helps
