I wasn’t familiar with the term ‘Belvedere’ before becoming charmed by the beauty and classic decor within Sarah Richardson’s off-the-grid family home project. Belvedere means “a fair view,” and this rooftop gallery within Sarah’s country home boasts a beautiful view of the Niagara Escarpment.

Her Belvedere rooftop gallery has all sorts of rustic, bohemian, cottage style, and masculine layering with its Metrie tongue-in-groove paneling, built-in sofa topped with pillows (velvet, Mongolian sheepskin, and custom designed), leather Moroccan poufs, hide rug, country sideboard, brass candelabra and sconces, drum coffee table, lantern pendant, and copper accents.
It’s a room meant for cozying on down, and wouldn’t it be amazing to watch the snow fall from here?
Today you’ll discover an EXCLUSIVE resource guide for home decor suggestions similar or identical to pieces Sarah incorporated in her Belvedere rooftop space.(Affiliate links won’t cost you extra, yet I’ll earn a few pennies.) Even though you may be able to locate resource guides for Sarah Richardson’s off-the-grid country home floating around the internet, in most cases, the links and item names are not accurate or current so I’m saving you some time and headache.

Here is a similar 3-light, 17″ lantern that you could treat with a bit antique gold of rub n buff:

Here’s the beautiful rustic sideboard Sarah chose for the space, and I’m not sure if she stained the top darker or if we’re just seeing a lighting/photography issue…do you prefer it lighter (stock photo) or darker (in her space below)?

I think I would live up there. A tiny bistro table for two in front of the window for my meals would be perfect. A little slice of heaven.

Mmmmmmm, yes! 🙂
Wow, I love it! I’d set up an easel and use the view as inspiration for my amateur painting. Thanks for the great source guide. As for your sideboard question, I’d be happy with the light or dark top…really good looking. And, that coffee table…oh my!
