PAINT COLOR: Benjamin Moore Simply White
Walls were painted a custom shade of white, but the designer says it is close to to Benjamin Moore Simply White.
Simply White’s slightest hint of warmth makes the clean, crisp white a favorite for any room.
Of the versatility and ease of Simply White, designer Todd Klein told AD:
“There’s a slight change of color due to the different finishes and this provides an ideal background for art, beautiful fabrics, and rugs in a room. I have used it with soft pinks, British racing greens, mahogany browns, butter yellows, lemon yellows, apple greens, and ruby reds. I have to admit, I don’t know of any color Simply White wouldn’t complement.”

Getting the Look of Leslie’s Sofa
What a gift when designers share the story of custom pieces as the designer did for her beloved sofa in the video tour.

It’s a pricey investment fabric, but if you love it, you could always opt for accent pillows:
Who says a sofa needs to be neutral and solid?
If we can learn anything from professionals, it is that mixing patterns and even clashing them can be highly satisfying!
Notice how the lighting and time of day photos are snapped makes a huge difference in how a particular white paint color will convey.
Also notice how much texture is introduced with varying finishes, paneling, moldings, and woven materials.
Folks are so afraid to use white walls for fear of a dull look, and I suppose it is possible if no thought is given to the other design elements in the space. (I need to devote a whole post to a psychological discussion of home decorators who opt for bold saturated color on walls simply to avoid all other thoughtful decisions for decor.)

Leslie’s lovely sun room is wrapped in a khaki color called Light Gray.

I found the kitchen in this renovated timeless California cottage to be an unexpected wonder!
Instead of the typical crisp and cool white with blue (with chinoiserie or coastal elements) cottage kitchen, it has a very luxurious English country feel and luxurious European warmth.
Isn’t the over-grouted stone backsplash brilliant?
Quite similar to Farrow & Ball Light Gray, Jitney works beautifully with the varying grey tones of the stone. Here’s the dining space on the other side of the opening:
