![]() Did you read my post about the beach house in the Netflix series Grace and Frankie? Then you know it was inspired by a Malibu beach house designed by an architect whose work is admired and frequently decorates Hello Lovely: Steve Giannetti of Giannetti Home. As promised, today I am showing you the original home (Broad Beach) which made enough of a splash with producers of Gracie and Frankie that they borrowed its style for the La Jolla beach house in the series. Let’s tour the original with its clean, crisp, traditional, coastal, casual, and timeless design. |

They comes in all sorts of colors, and here it is in white, and I think the color of Grace and Frankie’s is B.T. Aqua (Distressed):

The beach house on Grace and Frankie kept this
palette of blue and orange as you’ll see below!

In the real kitchen, the cooktop is not in the
island, and we can see the refrigerator to the
left of the archway…in the series, the frig must
be paneled.

I love the wall paper in the bedroom:) There is something that feels so comforting .. and maybe I'd sleep for a continuous 8 or 9 hours with no hot flashes or wake me up:} Happy Easter sweet friend:) xo
hahaha. sounds like midlife problems and we know you're only 30. 🙂
Those views! Amazing! I would never come home!
i know! 🙂
Hi Michele.
Steve and I loved reading your blog post about Steve's client's home. FYI, according to Steve all of the exterior shots are real. Although the one from the beach side is computer generated, it looks exactly like Steve's design.

Thanks, Brooke and Steve! I'm sure you never anticipated this kind of press and hoopla when Steve designed this home years ago–hurray for Hollywood! xox
I love the drift wood mirror that’s in the dinning room. Is there a closer picture of it?
I’ll look into it and will let you know, Sue! 🙂
Does anyone know the name/brand of the blue in the kitchen?
I don’t have the source for the color, but there’s a similar effect you can achieve by combining two Benjamin Moore colors 50-50: Patriot Blue mixed with Bold Blue (this is a tip from designer Patrick Mele). 🙂
