Love this cottage and the decor choices they made. Especially like the 3 blade ceiling fans in the master and on the porch for something different to add interest… as well as the white fan in the carriage house to mix it up some. This gives me some good ideas for the fans we plan to use in our mountain house build which will have a small garage apartment similar to the carriage house. Also, nice to see what looks like aggregate for the floor of their porch?!? We JUST decided yesterday to use aggregate on our covered porch (which is off our master like this cottage) as well as on our front porch. This gives me vision for how that will look! I really like it! Gives a nice texture and is something more unique! Thanks for sharing so many lovely, idea-inspiring homes!

I didn’t even look at the porch floor…good call. I totally agree on the power of seeing before springing for some of these design choices. There are a million decisions to make when building, aren’t there? After we wrapped up the reno on this place, I was all ‘never ever again’ but 4 years later, I’m biting at the bit to be making all those decisions again. Design blogging helps and saves my husband a ton of cash–ha!
