We’re revisiting images of a stunning Palmetto Bluff compound (with main house, carriage house, and bungalow!) with interiors designed by Lisa Furey since they instantly transport me to a summer state of mind! Coastal Cottage Kitchen & Entry in a Board & Batten Dream Home delights with inspiration photos of beautiful modern farmhouse meets coastal cottage style interiors as well as resources for getting the look!

But first – have you seen Anna Wintour’s garden? (This video starts off with some still shots but becomes a wonderful tour!):
Coastal Cottage Kitchen & Entry in a Board & Batten Dream Home
Design: Lisa Furey Interiors; Contractor: Vala and Owens Custom Homes; Photography: Lindsey Shorter
What caught my attention straight away about these cottage interiors is that designer chose the same white paint color as I did for our cottage: BENJAMIN MOORE White. You’ll find more sources for paint colors used in this home below.
You can see in the image below that this 1/2 acre estate includes three separate small structures which add up to 3,000 square feet. There is a main house (center), a guest cottage/bungalow, and a carriage house over the garage. I can imagine how wonderful the property is for hosting guests!
This carefully crafted coastal cottage compound (say that 5 times fast!) was sited to score beautiful lake views. There is also a park and conservation area, and it certainly feels private!

Aren’t they well done!?! Thanks so much for touring with us!
Michele, I’ve come to expect amazing blog posts from you but must say, I continue to be blown away with the effort you put into these posts. I know how time consuming it is to source all of these materials and then prepare a comprehensive post like this! I’ve actually seen this home in person from the exterior and admired it greatly, so to get a peek inside is a real treat, especially because I’ll be building my own coastal cottage one day too. This style, while a huge departure from my current home, is what we will be building in River Dunes, so this gives me lots of great inspiration. Thank you my friend! Keep um comin’!

I can’t wait to see all the designs at your next home as I know how amazing it will be! There is just nothing like a classic coastal look that won’t seem to trendy in a few years. How fun that you were able to see this property! I’m ready to visit SC again – we visited Folly Beach and Charleston last July and loved them! Off to see what you have been up to, friend. And thanks so much for the encouraging words. I am actually taking it easy this summer and recycling/updating old posts so not working too hard. 🙂

Hi Michele, Totally charming and fresh coastal home! That tile wall in the kitchen adds so much to the appeal. Hope you’re doing well and getting through this COVID era okay.

Thinking of you, Holly and hoping you are staying creative in spite of the unrest and pervasive changes. I’m hanging in there and focusing on my health, trying to use this more sheltered time to rest and just be rather than produce. Gearing up to help our son do some renovations to his first home so that will be a great creative project! 🙂
Love “Hello Lovely”. Always so inspiring!
