Good morning! I hope your Birthday was divine. You listed two of my all time favorite whites BM Chantilly Lace and BM Simply White. We had a large ranch house with vaulted ceilings and I painted all of it Simple White in eggshell and it was gorgeous. I love that BM’s eggshell has no sheen and it has such a soft look. We loved it so much that when we sold our home and moved to Savannah we used it again in our much smaller downsized home. We were shocked because after painting the living and dining room it looked awful! What a difference a smaller home with little windows can make. It actually looked like a drab pale yellow!! We let it sit for a couple of weeks until I came home with BM Chantilly Lace in eggshell and painted every room. We love it so much, it looks so clean and fresh but so soft in our little Spanish house. BTW downsizing ain’t for sissies 🤣😂😳 Thanks for your wonderful posts. I look forward to them every morning.

  Thanks for the kind words and sharing this experience with white paints – it is so helpful to hear firsthand experience, and it echoes my own experience. A color that is perfect in one context can be way off for a different one. Especially those yellow undertones in paint. Simply White looked awful when I sampled it in our last home – way too warm and saturated. I was shocked at how much that house demanded a bright cool white – something I had never used before. Best to you as you meet those challenges of downsizing. 🙂
