All so beautiful and lovely!
The Brit Jones home design on the video is a fabulous example of showing people that your interiors can be what you want them to look like regardless of the architectural style of the home (well, for the most part 😉 ).
It always saddens me to hear people say “Oh I can’t do THAT style because it won’t look right inside my house!” If you love a particular style, with help from some knowledgeable people, it can be achieved. If this home was a client of mine, I might initially thought they’d be going for a more contemporary and modern interior… (those windows, for example). See how that thinking can be so wrong? 😉
Lovely lovely lovely! All things French speak to my heart…don’t know why, they just do. 🙂
For me, I think I am drawn to all things French because I have French heritage AND they happen to be masterful about all things sensual and pretty. So happy you enjoyed! This designer loves the same things I do!
Thanks so much for reading – it’s wonderful having you here! 🙂

Thank you sharing! Beautiful home, I am dying to know what color they painted the brick though. I have read the article over and over and didn’t see it listed. Although I didn’t mind reading it 4 and 5 times. It’s beautiful.

Hi, this house is amazingly well done! I am most interested in where that barn boor came from in the master bedroom? I was looking to make this same door for a client of mine. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!
Hi there. Thanks so much for reading. The designer is Brit Jones, and you could message her via IG with any questions – here: https://www.instagram.com/britjonesdesign/
I don’t normally read entire blogs, but this one was so helpful with all of the details! One question, what is the color of the trim throughout the house (aside from the gray in the laundry room)? Wondering what they paired with the Alabaster in the other rooms. Thanks!
Thanks for reading, Andrea. If I recall, the trim was also Alabaster because I’m fairly sure the kitchen cabinets were also painted Alabaster. Hope this helps, and if I can get confirmation, I’ll circle back here. 🙂

Michelle! your article was so well written. Thank you for sharing. I am duplicating the reclaimed brick floors and have even sourced from this vendor. What I can’t find out is what they sealed the brick with as it has a lovely satin shine with a clean sealed look. Many of these floors are left unfinished and appear dirty. Any help at all and I would be so incredibly grateful!
Hi Christy. I’ll message the designer to see if I can get an answer for you. I appreciate you bringing up the issue because I know exactly what you mean about the unfinished vs. the sealed. You could also try emailing the designer [email protected]. 🙂
You bet! Thanks so much for reading – hope you are well. 🙂

I’m in love with your home! I especially love the kitchen, for the brick is it regular sized brick or is it paver sized? I wish I lived in Texas again, we moved about 5 years ago. I would just hire your designer!
Hi there. This home belongs to designer Brit Jones and not me (oh how I wish!). The Chicago brick in the kitchen is regular sized brick but is sliced so it may be used and installed like tile. Hope this helps – I would be happy to help you design – simply subscribe to the blog and hit reply to any daily email you receive, and it will be me ready to help! 🙂

Beautiful home. What is the exterior body paint color?
STUNNING HOME! Do you think the Alabaster kitchen cabinets and Alabaster wall color would work with Terracotta tiles? If so, what kind of backsplash would work to create a French Country vibe?
They would definitely work with terracotta – for a French country identity, a blue and white tiled backsplash with tile such as this one (looks like the pricey, handmade encaustic tile but is porcelain and an easier install): https://rstyle.me/+5AyB3ZEpRMdDLLiWR09iwA would be beautiful. You could consider using a terracotta hued grout to tie it in with the flooring. Another favorite of mine is this square tile that resembles zellige tiles: https://rstyle.me/+Dg43GmctoWPn0iHhyIE7rA If you are considering a natural stone backsplash tile – this one would keep things monochromatic.

This is so beautiful. I recently bought the same reclaimed brick from Vintage brick for my small fireplace. Do you know the color of grout used and if the bricks are white washed? What gives the bricks that cloudy soft look.
Thanks so much. .
This home is positively gorgeous! Some of the paint colors were so perfect to enhance the French country vibe. Loved everything! Best, Kim

I recall the designer mentioning it was a custom sort of slurry mix over the brick so I’m afraid I don’t have an exact paint color. You may find something similar (a warm stone white with brown undertones in my post with warm whites: https://www.hellolovelystudio.com/2020/05/7-gorgeous-warm-white-paint-colors-for-home-decor.html

I just updated the post here and am pretty sure the info about the brick slurry is in it – doubt we know the color of grout: https://www.hellolovelystudio.com/2024/01/modern-french-paint-palette.html
