While we mostly relaxed on our recent road trip vacation to pretty places in the Southeast, I did stop in the Arhaus store location in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hence, behold some of my favorite finds spotted in Charlotte in Ooh La la! Arhaus French Vintage Timeless Furniture, Decor and Lighting.
Can you even believe the designer who helped us was from the same town we live in and had just moved to Charlotte? Crazytown! So Arhaus made us feel right at home as we tested out sofas and chairs and also touched the handfeel of yummy upholstery and wood finishes.
And before I forget…I have been nominated in the international category!
Since it is becoming less common for folks to actually buy furniture from brick and mortar locations, I thought it might help to give you a field report.
Not everything in my photos is French country, French inspired, or French vintage, though my favorites always seem to fall within that realm. But I do love a clean-lined, simple (and typically Belgian style) sofa, and Arhaus has plenty of them.
Let’s browse this new to me shop.

Table Lamp Discovery
I am often asked about the bronze Parisian Iron Gate lamps (RH) in our master bedroom, and here’s a gorgeous similarly scaled lamp which includes the shade. It would be gorgeous in a French room!
Bonus! The lamp has a coordinating floor lamp as well.
Comfy Neutral Sofa
It’s so difficult to find a simple yet sophisticated white sofa! I showed you a bunch HERE, but I’m encouraged by the gorgeous white sofa selection at Arhaus.

The Beauty of Seeing Decor in Person
It’s one thing to see a stock photo like the one below and wonder if the pieces will be as beautiful in person…and quite another to visit them, touch them, and agree they are even better!

Have a Thing for Timeless Mirrors?
I love the selection of wall mirrors at Arhaus, and especially favored the distressed aged look of the three mirrors at right, below. Massed together as a trio above a dresser or in an entry makes a lovely statement.

Modern Rustic Pendant Light
In the right modern rustic context, this nest pendant could be amazing, and it reminded me of the edgy styling of Michael Del Piero.
Alice White Slipcovered Dining Chair at Arhaus
These are so gorgeous in person and have such an impressive silhouette at the ends of a dining table.

When Your Companion Wants a Recliner
I have heard it asked a million times: where can I find a recliner that isn’t so ugly that I break out in hives???? They are hard to find, oui? We gave this one a test-sit and didn’t want to stop reclining.
Plentiful Upholstery Options
A Favorite French Decor Discovery
This lamp was serious swoonage material and would look perfect somewhere in our home for sure. The whole St. Augustine collection at Arhaus is timelessly lovely!
Understated, Rustic, and European-Inspired Loveliness
Are you loving this sweet glowing chunk of lovely or what?

For a French Family Room or Den
Sometimes I think folks forget they don’t have to deck out a guest room with a bed if it makes more sense to have a sleeper sofa or sectional in the space. If you don’t entertain overnight guests often, why not treat yourself to a comfortable everyday getaway spot?
What a pleasure to spend a short visit in Charlotte–I’ll soon share snaps of a few beautiful homes we drove by in a neighborhood we fell for.

Thank you! We certainly noticed the hospitality and enjoyed our stay. 🙂 Thanks so much for letting me know.
I too love the iron bench and I had one similar several years ago. It added great French appeal to our garden area but it was so undeniably uncomfortable and….{sigh} we sold it. Truly there are days when I wish I had it back, but oh well….
Some very lovely ideas here in this post! 🙂

I do the same thing every once in awhile – a moving sale will entice me to clear the decks, and then later, you think of a hundred places a piece could have gone! I found three lovely iron daybeds at an antique store over the weekend and keep thinking of how incredible one would be in the courtyard! Thanks so much for reading, Connie. 🙂
It’s a beautiful show home! The furniture, lights, wallpaper and fabrics are all lovely. Aarhus has a varied style, when I compare the ones you’ve shown to the pieces in the show home. And, I have to mention that kitchen. The gold with white is stunning. It’s a different style than my home but I could be convinced to convert. lol
You mentioned readers looking for stylish recliners. Lazyboy has a great selection of chairs that do not look like recliners. I bought two wing back chairs upholstered in a beautiful fabric. Everyone is surprised to find they are recliners.

I agree about the varied styles, and I suppose the Charlotte Arhaus location has a particular point of view versus other locations. Always helps to see these pieces in person! I haven’t looked at Lazyboy in quite some time, and it’s great to hear they can fool your friends!
Charlotte is my home town where I have always lived. I truly hope you enjoyed your stay and your shopping trip! I would love to hear more about your vacation in the beautiful southeast!
