This afternoon I will happily attend a bridal shower in honor of my nephew and his beloved (did you catch the ‘what to wear’ post? I’ll share toward the end of this post what I decided to wear). Most couples register for gifts these days, and here are a few little wedding related sweet gifts to consider as well.

My favorite bridal shower or wedding gift suggestion is a good table, desk, or mantel clock. This was one of the best gifts I received at my own wedding back in 1987, and it has been used every single day since then, remaining on my bedside table to this day!

Know how many times I have heard the story of a bride and groom ready to cut the first slice of wedding cake at the reception who realize they don’t have pretty utensils for the task? What a great gift!

How perfect is this little leaded glass and brass box to display and store wedding jewelry for the bride to be (or any bits, baubles, and bling for ME or YOU!!!!).

I discovered Tocca’s Cleopatra scent at the Elysian Spa in Chicago where its loveliness was everywhere (in the soap dispenser, as a creme for the hands, in the air, sold at the counter), and I’m still hooked. I can’t resist bridal fashion, and I own a couple of BHLDN’s capelets because…(1) fairies love a delicate gossamer capelet and (2) upper arms sometimes jiggle jiggle, and this hushes them tout suite!
