Would you dare live this spare?
It is likely startling to see the tone on tone so bold right here with color and moodier earth tones trending all over social media.
But how can you argue with the colors of natural marble?
I do wonder if folks who say they are allergic to beige have ever tried living in a calm, understated, pale environment.
Pared Down Parisian Chic
Does a peek inside your closet reveal the same colors as reflected in your interiors?
There are always exceptions to some of those age old rules.
For example, I was just explaining to a follower how I adore wearing red yet cannot live with that color at home.
Warm Grey Innovative Luggage: MEET MY NEW FAV
This Rollink Flex 360 Fully Collapsible Suitcase is more than just a new pretty carry-on.
The world’s first fully collapsible 4-wheel spinner suitcase is truly innovative. Why is a collapsible piece of luggage helpful?
Since it collapses down to 5″ thick, it will easily store beneath your bed or in the closet. But will it last?
The hard shell part of the carry-on is made from durable, high quality polycarbonate that is scratch, water, and impact resistant. What I especially like is how lightweight this bag is. At just 6.2 lbs, it measures 22’’ x 14’’ x 9’’ when expanded and meets airline requirements. (It also has a TSA-approved luggage lock.)
Bonus points for Rollink’s warm grey color option…this sophisticated Parisian-like hue is sure to appeal to Francophiles and fans of greige! I guess I wear a lot of greige too…
Here’s a Copenhagen home that is severely edited:
So quietly contemplative and cozy!
Do you love mixing your whites?
Because I think there is magic to be discovered when cooler whites meet warm beige or when pale greys combine with warm stone hues.
What are Your Favorite Beiges and Greiges?
You will definitely want to explore my archives with their ample ideas for paint colors in the neutral range. Warm whites are so gorgeous to live with! With all of the possibilities, here’s one that is still striking a chord for a lot of you.
It’s beautiful inside…
and out…
And just in case you need another gorgeous grey to complement your Balboa Mist…
Isn’t it dreamy?
Farrow & Ball Ammonite
Ammonite is a naturally understated grey that walks that line between warm and cool in a lovely way.
Notice how beautifully the color reads whether in more rustic contexts (above) or elegant ones (below):
In a traditional styled space, Ammonite feels fresh and soothing.
Pale & Understated Subtle Interiors
Warm creamy walls in this luxurious bedroom by Rose Uniacke nudge me to declutter and soften all the colors in our home!
Notice how texture becomes a “color” here:
While I went boldly cool white in our former primary bath…
our current one is greigey:
But still lots of cool grey and white underfoot:
Perfectly Parisian Inspired Greige
Plenty of colors of the moment arise, but those easy to live with natural, earthy, pale ones…
they remind me of Paris and moments like this I captured:
I don’t seem to ever tire of them! Are they too cool and gloomy? Well sunlight does magical things…
to even the coolest of whites. Benjamin Moore WHITE OC-151 worked with the light in this home of ours:
There are endless ways to live with beige and greige and in every season.
Do you prefer your greige-y neutrals with black accents?
Or is black unwelcome?
Natural wood tones with gray can be beautiful.
But it’s also okay to keep the look quieter and without too much tension.
All of these years later, I am still not over this combination of greige shiplap, crisp white, and simple subtle natural accents:
There are so many ways to achieve a textured look for walls and ceilings now with limewash, microcement, Venetian plaster, and mineral paints.
Bedrooms with greige are never going to feel out of style. But what about kitchens?
Not gonna lie…I occasionally think about repainting my kitchen cabinets even though I love them. But I also love beige, putty, and all of those pretty shades in a white rainbow.
And I’m still crazy about SW Eider White on our walls in kitchen. I’m considering painting the bedroom and bath this color. The spaces are very moody right now, and while that look is trending, I’m just not sure the highly emotive me needs more “moody” in her world. 🙂
Texas Fantasy
Believe it or not, this Texas home belonging to Kendra Scott is not in the Italian countryside!
