Timeless Design Idea No. 2: Moravian Starry Light
Who says you need to go all Swiss cheesy on your hallway ceiling…reach for the stars!
For the fine folk who care to get design-geeky about the history of Moravian stars…Moravian refers to a small group of Germanic protestants who fled to America in the 18th century.
A professor at a Moravian school created a Moravian star to teach a geometry lesson, and this led to its rising as a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem.
Traditional Moravian stars have 26 points.

Thanks! Haven’t learned that color yet and will ask The Fox Group! Peace to you. 🙂
The Fox Group have beautiful taste. They have remembered that even small details can elevate a room. I love the oversized lighting.
I must say that in the six picture down of the bath, the undertones are different and it is very busy with the grey veined marble tub surround, hexagon flooring and trim detail and subway tile thrown in the mix. It’s just BAD! Their other baths are magnificent!
Author
They do such beautiful work. I had to include that bath for reference since I love the flooring! Peace to you, design savvy friend. 🙂
Hi Joanna,
That bathroom you referred to is not one of our designs. 🙂

So sorry for the inaccuracy! I’ve removed the image and appreciate your response!
thanks for the inspiration!! Can you tell me the stain color used on the white oak herringbone floors? Thanks
Author
They haven’t revealed the stain as far as I know – you could dig deep into their IG feed (The Fox Group). To my eyes it appears to be left natural like what we did with our white oak – no stain at all – just a sealer on top. 🙂
Hi Michele,
Thank you for the lovely feature! It means so much to us!
Sincerely,
