Sundance Catalog Furniture, Décor & Need a Chic Black Paint Color?
You just may find more than a cute pair of earrings or embroidered denim at Sundance, including a distressed blue cabinet which could house a range of curiosities.
I don’t often feel charmed by intentionally distressed new furniture since there’s no substitute for vintage. But something about the distress here is reminiscent of a floral pattern…anyone else feelin that?
In fact, when I first glimpsed the cabinet online early this morning, my eyes saw flowers and not age…which got me thinking about my lens.
How can I begin to see the beauty beyond the distress in my daily day? It will surely demand a heart change; a willingness to bend, to stretch. And an imagination that entertains the eternal despite the challenges planting me in this space and this time.
I’m also always charmed by what Sundance offers in actual florals:
and floral bedding like the quilt below its cheerful citrus with a little turquoise palette.

If ever you need a reminder about the power of paint, just wait until you see the before/after of this home. The new owners inherited lots of orange-y woodwork, yet paint freshened everything!

There’s something about the dusty, chalky, desert color thread that runs through so much of the inspiring vignettes styled by Sundance.
And once more, my eye is drawn to the dark ground contrasting with the natural hue on the walls and sculptural form of the glass shade.
This entry bench is less elegant but oh so functional and airy.
