The countdown to my trip to London (Amara Interior Blog Awards) is ON (only 10 days to go!), and this will be my first trip to the UK. We’re renting a home in Notting Hill/Holland Park, and I would love to have a day to escape the city for the English countryside. Here is a beautiful Scandinaivan style house with Amazing Country French Nordic White Interiors just 90 minutes from London that I am sure I would love.

Filled with elegant furniture and props including lovely chandeliers and antique mirrors, The Hatch is the perfect country location for fashion or home interior shoots and offers abundant natural light. Maine Coon Adoptions says of the gentle giants, “Maine Coons usually have muscular, broad chests and long rectangular bodies with long, flowing, silky fur, often with a front ruff. Males average 15-17 pounds, with some reaching 25 pounds or more, and females average 12 pounds. They may not reach full size until they are about four years old. Maine Coons come in just about every cat color and pattern (about 75 altogether) — solid, tabby, red or orange, cream, white, buff, black, silver, brown, multi-colored, tortoiseshell or calico.”

I read recently that designers are over “all white interiors”. Now, that might be because they can’t be as creative with colour mix, find them boring or just want to be hired to redo those same interiors that they splashed white all over. In my world, there will always be a place for white interiors. Even my garden is predominantly white (in flowers and/or leaves).
Main Coon cats are gorgeous. But, all that hair….
I’ve enjoyed the tour this morning. White interiors always leave me with a feeling of peace. Perfect for a Sundsy morning!
All white interiors will seem ridiculous to many folks, but when done right, mmm-mmm good. If ever you care to send over images of your home and garden for a house tour, I know readers would love the inspiration and so would I! Thanks for reading and getting into the spirit. xox
Good point – but that’s what cozy fluffy slippers are for. 🙂

I’m with you Holly! I LOVE painted floors and am hoping to remove our worn-out carpeting in the living room to replace with white painted wood floors…maybe next summer. 🙂
As to chilly in winter….We have white painted wooden floors in our master bedroom. They are not actually that cold because wood has ‘warmth’ all its own. Yes, we do have sheepskin rugs right by the bed for that immediate step out in the morning, but they’re quite lovely and super easy to care for. We live in ND where we can get to -40 degrees F in winter….But we do have central heating so. …..But yes, warm socks for those especially cold days 😉
Michelle, as I sit here waiting for my dinner to finish cooking, I think “Oh my! Michelle has given me dessert first! ” Lovely as always. I have bookmarked this page for those days when I desire/need a pick-me-up. 🙂
White on white…..a color scheme for an abundant, peaceful, cloud-like rest. Ahhhhhhhhh……….
White painted floors are such a dreamy prospect for me! I’m with you and don’t mind the wood floors in our bedroom one bit, and we leave ours bare. I think I am used to cold after living in Minnesota for years. I’m so glad this post appealed – it is truly my kind of country dream house! Happy Sunday, friend. xox

Pure loveliness! You had me with the bare, painted wooden floors, probably very chilly in the winter but they sure look great!
