Before the buds, before green grass, bees, birdsong and blue skies, let’s steal a taste of spring goodness. I’m imagining the innocence of pastels and softer hues to soothe and settle the senses. (We have nonstop fearful newsfeeds for the alternative.) But I’m also a fan of all shades of blue. Peek at spring looks from Pottery Barn along with pastel spring goodness and maybe save a few sweet DIYs and finds for future reference.

Pottery Barn Spring Looks
These inspiring schemes from Pottery Barn feature pretty furniture, accessories, and textiles to discover for your home this spring.
What relief to see these cheerful uplifting spring color with plenty of cheerful blue.
After all, we seem to consume excessive interior design content with muddy colors and moody decor inspiration.
While that flavor of seasonal moodiness tends to resonate in winter, at some point, an itch to lighten up emerges.
We’re ready to lighten the layers a little.
To pull back the curtains and welcome more natural light.
Some of us dig into remodeling projects and refreshes for our interiors.
We begin to direct our attention outdoors and to
fresh flowers and pretty tablescapes inside (pulling out dishes tucked away for months in the cupboards.)
Is blue finding its way into your own interiors?
Gentle Neutrals, Classic Blue, and Rustic Rosewood
I hope I feel more energized after winter’s hibernation, but the color stories here are so gentle…

they offer hope that we can somehow ease into a fresh season.
While the scheme is pale and natural in the above inspiration, I am loving the sunny stone and can feel a cool breeze.
Isn’t this a great reminder that we need not have a real wood burning fireplace to enjoy an ambient moment?
Does spring seem to fly by quickly in your neck of the woods?
Because on the prairie, April tends to behave a lot like February…
until it changes its sweet mind and flirts like July.
Maybe it explains why I sense comfort from gentler colors in spring as we emerge from winter as opposed to an electric rainbow of new growth.
Just now I am missing a rosy damask-upholstered club chair we lived with for many years. The thing about downsizing is there are always sacrifices that haunt you at times.
While the neutral kitchen above lacks springtime color beyond green, I am drawn to its honey-toned woven Malibu counter stools at the island. Still need to visit a Pottery Barn store to test them for comfort since they feel island-like and tropical.
Spring-Themed Ideas & DIY
1. Little Nests
These look so precious, and you can improvise with the type of candy eggs to top them.
Crescent roll dough works so well for treats that only seem complicated.
2. Eggshell Pastels
Bring life to your spring tablescape with these darling and delicate receptacles.

3. Bunny Beauty
Need a clever bunny eared placesetting idea with a napkin and and egg?
Come to think of it, gentle pastel spring-like colors in Rachel Parcell’s home are just the kind of mood I’m channeling today:

How long has it been since I read a Beatrix Potter book to a little one? Too long!
Cuddle + Kind provides meals to children in need with each sale, and everybunny loves ’em!

Look at the sweet little knit carrots in their pockets!
Because it’s the little things…

Who knew a simple scalloped collar on a bunny could be so irresistible?

Cozy Comfy Sleepwear
Cheery colors are so happy when it’s grey outside.
We all know someone who would go cray cray for peeps kebabs this indulgent.

Stay tuned for Part 2 in the next post!
Peace to you right where you are.
