Have traditions in your family for Mother’s Day? For years, our tradition was brunch at home (Swedish pancakes and breakfast casserole) before a full day of garden work. That day always kicked off the blooming season. A world away from overeating at a bougie restaurant! Let’s face it. I’m more scrappy than fancy, and my restricted diet makes it dangerous to indulge. All that maintenance for “fancy?” Truly, it grows more tiresome than garden spruceups. Get me close to the earth, bring truckloads of mulch, let the dirt sink under my fingernails under the sun with my three men. I encourage you to freely decide how your special days look and feel. Will you find a lovely idea or 10 within this collection of Mother’s Day Goodness?

Ridiculous Humor & Mother’s Day Goodness

Crochet Raffia Sun Hat of Dreams
Years ago, a friend owned a huge, romantic raffia hat not unlike this one. It was a traveling hat, and she snapped photos of her friends and family in it…so fun.
This hat looks amazing on everyone at any age, from girls to grannies, and I can’t imagine it ever going out of style!

With coastal granny vibes still in rotation, this particular hat and the whole look is still very relevant.
