Mocha Mousse as a comforting and cozy vibe may be THE Pantone color of the moment, but lightening up is as welcome as chocolate ’round these parts! I personally can’t quit the ethereal beauty of warm limestone shades, aged to perfection European-inspired faded greys, and pale earthy atmospheric tones. Enjoy a collection of beige aesthetic room ideas culled from an eclectic range of creators to follow. BONUS: Sample these paint colors too!

Would you, could you dare to pare and live this spare?

It is beginning to be a bit remarkable to see collections of tone on tone when saturated bold colorful rooms dominate our social feeds.

But can we truly argue with how much nature celebrates understated beigey-greige goodness in hues of natural marble?

I totally understand the argument that warm whites and putty colors are safe, but why has that become so stigmatized? What if it does the trick to calm my nervous system?

Pared-Down Parisian Chic
Does a peek inside your closet reveal a look reflective of your interiors?
There are bound to be exceptions to some of the age old design rules we seem to accept as gospel.
For example, I love wearing red in winter yet cannot live with the color in rooms of my home.
Red contrasts nicely with my complexion and seems to create a bit of energy for me, but seeing red walls or objects feels over-stimulating.
My New Warm Grey Carryon
This Rollink Flex 360 Fully Collapsible Suitcase is more than just a pretty carry-on.
The world’s first fully collapsible 4-wheel spinner suitcase is also innovative. Why is its collapsible design helpful?
Since it collapses down to 5″ thick, it easily stores under the bed or in a closet. But will it last?
The hard shell part of the carry-on is made of durable, high quality polycarbonate that is scratch, water, and impact resistant. What I especially like is its light weight. At just 6.2 lbs, it measures 22’’ x 14’’ x 9’’ when expanded so it meets airline requirements. (It also has a TSA-approved luggage lock.)

Not sure if this warm grey color is still an option, but I like the darker colors too. This sophisticated Parisian-like hue surely appeals to Francophiles and greigeophiles! I do tend to wear greige too…

Here’s a Copenhagen home with minimal chic style:

So quietly contemplative and cozy!
Do you love mixing your whites?
Because there is magic to discover when cooler whites partner with warm beige or pale greys mix with warm stone hues.

It’s beautiful inside…

and out…

And just in case you need another gorgeous grey to complement your Balboa Mist…

Isn’t it dreamy?

Farrow & Ball Ammonite
Ammonite is a naturally understated grey that walks that line between warm and cool in a lovely way.

You can see it in this video below spotlighting Athena Calderone’s home at around the 44 second mark since her former bedroom was painted Ammonite:
Notice how beautifully the color reads whether in more rustic contexts (above) or elegant ones (below):

In a traditional styled space, Ammonite feels fresh and soothing.

Pale Understated Subtle Interiors
Warm creamy walls in this luxurious bedroom by Rose Uniacke nudge me to declutter and soften all the colors in our home!

Notice how texture becomes a “color” here:

While I went boldly cool white in our former primary bath…

our current one is greigey:

But still lots of cool grey and white underfoot:

Perfectly Parisian Inspired Greige
Plenty of colors of the moment arise, but those easy to live with natural, earthy, pale ones…

they remind me of Paris and moments like this I captured:

I don’t seem to ever tire of them! Are they too cool and gloomy? Well sunlight does magical things…

to even the coolest of whites. Benjamin Moore WHITE OC-151 worked with the light in this home of ours:

There are endless ways to live with beige and greige and in every season.
Do you prefer your greige-y neutrals with black accents?

Or is black unwelcome?
Natural wood tones with gray can be beautiful.

But it’s also okay to keep the look quieter and without too much tension.
All of these years later, I am still not over this combination of greige shiplap, crisp white, and simple subtle natural accents:

There are so many ways to achieve a textured look for walls and ceilings now with limewash, microcement, Venetian plaster, and mineral paints.

Bedrooms with greige are never going to feel out of style. But what about kitchens?

Not gonna lie…I occasionally think about repainting my kitchen cabinets even though I love them. But I also love beige, putty, and all of those pretty shades in a white rainbow.

And I’m still crazy about SW Eider White on our walls in kitchen. I’m considering painting the bedroom and bath this color. The spaces are very moody right now, and while that look is trending, I’m just not sure the highly emotive me needs more “moody” in her world. 🙂
Texas Fantasy
Believe it or not, this Texas home belonging to Kendra Scott is not in the Italian countryside!
