If you’re a Francophile with a smart phone, you probably have spied the luxurious 18th Century Le Mas des Poiriers on social. If you’re more of a shelter mag in the hand design freak, maybe you saw this property in Veranda. What a lesson in color theory! Creamy plaster with light blue-green, copper, and the warmth of stone? Yes, please.

Don’t you love how the warmth of the stone floor, copper pots, and wood counter balance the coolness of the blue?
A real working kitchen! Not just a poser ready for its magazine shoot.
And notice the beauty of delicate hardware on cabinetry and furniture-like finishing details on the base cabinets.
Such a French detail with the curved detail near crown:

This enchanting and newly re-designed property is located on 65 acres of a working farm with pears as well as sunflowers!
It was important to homeowner, Shauna Varvel, that the finishes in the renovation be traditional. Thus, Dordogne stone floors cover the main level while reclaimed antique terracotta floors grace the upper level.
I would be beyond content to simply reside in the guest house or any staff quarters on a property like this!
Don’t you love the sunny stone which has weathered over hundreds of years?
