Today’s Cheerful Pink Christmas Decorating Inspiration celebrates the softer side of red holiday cheer and promotes small businesses in the process. While decorating with pink may not ring traditional, its pretty feminine nature seems sweetly reminiscent of childhood, sugar plum fairies, cotton candy, and ballet slippers.

The beautifully decorated Christmas porch above with its preppy pink check ribbon stopped me in my tracks last year! The Pink Clutch had shared her entry on Jenny Williamson’s Holiday Home Tour which I participated in this year. Pink is so dang cheerful with bright blue, and isn’t the check with Chinoiserie always a winning combo?
On this year’s holiday home tour, we were treated to some amazing bedrooms, and Jennifer’s festive one above (more pink check ribbon on the wreath!) stole my heart.

In my own home, I have been known to drag out my pointe shoe collection for the softer side of pink.
Ballet slippers make feel very nostalgic as I was often daydreaming about ballerinas as a little girl.
I never took lessons until college, and I was shocked by the intensity (and pain!) underneath all of the beautiful performances.
I earned new appreciation for dance, and I learned I am not as flexible as I imagined!
Yet just because you aren’t great at something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pursue it!
This is another reason ballet slippers continue to inspire me and soften my heart. It is humbling once you understand the strength, discipline and dedication underlying all of the beauty.
Blogging and content creation may look like an easy way to earn a living, but in reality, it entails competition, perseverance, flexibility, and hard work. With the demands of this job, I need home to offer a soft landing. Little pops of pink help. These pink roses from Grace Rose Farm on my coffee table are some of my favorite, and I sometimes order them during the holidays.
