Links to big business are frequent here even though I myself am a one woman show of a small business. So here’s a reminder to support and shop small businesses in your local community and online. Let’s face it. Things are more gray than ever (many small businesses rely on sales from big business hubs like Amazon, Etsy, eBay, etc.). In spite of an ever-evolving corporate landscape, here’s a lovely round-up of creativity and handmade loveliness from artisans and makers. Maybe these Handmade Decor Finds will delight and inspire you to begin thinking SMALL as your holiday decor and gift giving plans take shape.

Have you Discovered Etsy Handmade Decor Finds?
The items spotlighted from Etsy shops today are not simply random finds I think will get thrown into shopping carts.
Many of the business owners are folks I know personally, and the items are things I have purchased and enjoy. I shared these award winning items last summer:
It’s so fun discovering new shops on Etsy so do let me know your favs!
Shopping Small Businesses
I happily support local independent businesses in my own community (Urban Farmgirl, Trove and Vintage Bliss are favs), and it is especially easy to share lovely finds with you in late summer and autumn when so many markets pop up.
Small businesses on Etsy are open 24-7! What a convenient hub and treasure trove of beautiful decor to make your own.
Quotes from Small Business Owners
The quotes encouraging us to shop independent and small businesses weaved into this post support an article in Forbes encouraging us to shop small.

I am such an Etsy fan! I could wallow away an entire day on that site. There is just so much to choose from that sometimes it’s overwhelming. You have introduced me to a couple of new vendors that I love… goats milk soap, linen PJ’s and tissue box covers. Sorry, I have to run… I’m going shopping.

Me too! And I love being an Etsy seller when I have inventory to sell – have met the nicest customers. I can’t live without those little slipcovers for tissues anymore…hahaha. The goats milk soap is made near my home, and those are the same goats I frolicked with the other day. 🙂 It truly is overwhelming, and even putting together a round-up is a challenge because of volume to sift through.
Hi Michele, I’m always so inspired and appreciative of handmade objects and works of art! Thanks for sharing these beautiful finds! They’d make lovely gifts.
