Even if it is doubtful you’ll dip your paintbrush into a rosy pigment, come hang out and ogle these peaceful blushing shades. Think shades of grey will continue to reign for interiors in the coming year? Or do you suppose we may crave more uplifting options? Time will tell, and until we know, Tranquil Pink Paint Colors & Pretty in Pink Loveliness is here to soothe.
Tranquil Paint Colors & Calm Pretty Pinks
I’m forever flirting with the idea of a pale pink accent wall in a guest room or even our bath as an experiment. Pinks are so tricky though, yes? It’s fun (well, if you’re a design freak, it’s fun) to see how experienced designers use pink:
Handpainted de Gournay! If money is no object and you happen to have a powder bath to make pretty with pink, a de Gournay dyed silk wallcovering like Portobello in Gentleman’s Pink will do:
I would love to see it in person as it varies with editing and photography. On their site, the pink looks much muddier:
Who could forget this combination of pink toile with lavender walls!?!
For a passionate devotee of white paint colors, it makes practical sense for a DIYer like moi to experiment with just one wall since it is a far simpler task than tackling four.

Oooh such lovely shades of pink! I believe a soft pink can, and often is, as restful as white (which you and I both love. 🙂
I once painted my parent’s guest room in a very very subtle soft pink and everyone commented on how beautiful the room looked. The tint enhanced everyone’s skin color making them look …and feel…better 🙂

Even though my folks were hesitant about their pale pink bedroom when it was painted, they ended up loving it, and it remains. It really can read rich and grown up. 🙂 Have a lovely week!
albeit pink is not my colour – in fashion or interior, I really love the wallpaper from house of hackry sumatra.
Personally I would use that colour very spare.

Thanks so much for reading. 🙂 It’s great having you here.
I don’t wear pink, nor decorate with it, but strangely, I do like it on others and in pics of homes. Hmmm🤔 It reads a little too sweet. I’m more of a red person in clothing and decor accents. Even then, just a touch. My heart remains mostly true to soft neutrals.

It can be so flattering when done right – and I wear a lot of blush pink but have yet to use it at home. #boymama Hahahaha. Thanks for playing along.
I like the muddy warm pink that’s about the color of your ballet shoe collection! I have a lovely memory that “pink” always brings to mind. Pink was my fav color growing up and for my 16th bday my mother redid my room in total pink! We used a local decorator (a friend of mine’s mother) who custom made a bedspread & floor length curtains to match in a small floral with pink background and of course paint all the walls pink…I was in Heaven! Ha!

What an amazing memory, Amy. We moved around in my childhood so I had a host of different bedrooms. One had candy pink hued shag carpet I fancied. As a pre-teen, my room was very earthy with a sunset comforter that I adored and a vintage secretary/writer’s desk that made me feel grown up. I remember listening to vinyls in that room and sometimes nervously calling up boys on a phone with a lonnnnnng twirly cord. Hahahaha
Oh yes…I remember those long twirly phone cords! Haha! I remember stretching it in all the way into another room for privacy…haha…as I never had a phone in my bedroom and had to use the one in our den/kitchen area! Your bedrooms sound dreamy too! 😁And I’m not surprised you had a vintage secretary desk being the lover of writing that you are. I always wanted one of those back in the day!
