Pink Christmas Decor: How to Deck Halls With Amazing Pastels!
Today’s Pink Christmas Decor: How to Deck Halls With Amazing Pastels pays homage to a quieter side of holiday cheer and celebrates Small Business Saturday. (This white Christmas decor inspiration also falls within such a category.) While decorating with pink is certainly not a traditional design direction, nor a snap to get right, its innocence is sweetly reminiscent of childhood, sugar plum fairies, cotton candy, and ballet slippers.

I’m still waiting for the decorating bug to bite. I’m enjoying all the pretty decorated rooms I see, but neither inspiration nor enthusiasm has hit. Perhaps, it’s because I’m recovering from surgery and my energy is low. Please keep all the pretty pictures coming! I loved the video tour of the Showhouse. Smashing abode!
Blessings on this beautiful Sunday,
~Joanna
Blessings on you, Joanna. I hope your recovery is swift and without issue. I haven’t brought out the decorations yet, and I like varying the look a little each year. I keep thinking WHAT WOULD PAMELA PIERCE DO? Ya know? Fresh greenery, white ribbon, white, white, white! 🙂

Last year, I decorated with white, lots of candles, and a light touch of gold. I might just switch pieces around so it is a touch different. I loved it, so why change. 🤔
When I’m away from home, my eye goes to all these pretty red and green holiday things, and when I bring them home, they look completely out of place and beg me to return them to the market! 🙂 Sorry not sorry, we’re snowy white designfreaks!

Once upon a time I used soft pinks, pale blues, and soft greens for my Christmas decorating. Although I don’t care totally for Victorian furnishings (too fussy), I love Victorian Christmas decorations. However, when we downsized from 3500 sq ft to 1800, I felt that I should use my very expensive red, gold, and taupe silk plaid curtain panels from my office in my new dining room. That meant using red and gold for my Christmas tree as we have what use to be called ” a great room ” and now is called open concept. You see it all from the kitchen, living room, foyer and dining room. I have to admit that I love it. But every time I see the soft blues, pinks and greens , I truly miss my Christmases from the past. The moral of this story is don’t have curtain panels custom made — they may follow you for the rest of your life!
Hahaha – it sounds wonderful, and I hear you with the downsizing and compromises. Maybe the other moral is we design freaks need to have miniature dollhouses to satisfy all of our wishes without needing a money tree and driving the people we live with crazy! Thanks for reading!
