While I’m spending a few more days near Scottsdale, let’s have a little fun peeking inside luxurious homes here on the market I’ll never be able to afford. Take a look at the interiors, decide which you would prefer to move in, and then let me know with a comment. Which Scottsdale French Country Inspired Home Would You Choose?

House #1.
Either would require a maid service to keep it clean they are both so large 😉

Thanks for reading, Jamie. I should follow up this post with a tiny house celebration. 🙂 It’s definitely FANTASY LAND for this ragamuffin who can barely keep up with her modest white cottage sanctuary. 🙂
It’s so hard to choose because they both have elements I admire and like. But if I had to choose one it would be #2. Does it come furnished? Hee hee! 😉 Now that would be lovely indeed!

Thanks for playing along, Connie. Isn’t that kitchen something else!?! At least we can snag those kitchen counter stools at the island – I have linked to them many times. 🙂
I would choose #1. But I love that outdoor area in #2!

Thanks for playing along, Kathy. They are both pretty over the top! 🙂
I am not really into big homes, but if I had to choose one it would be the Houston home!

Hahaha – I hear you! Thanks for reading, Doreen. 🙂
Number 2 ALL THE WAY! It is stunning and I believe I could live quite happily there (wink)! Hope you are well Michele and enjoying the post holiday quiet like I am! Joan

Hi Joan – it is always wonderful to hear from you. With blogging, you have to begin thinking about the holidays in October, so boy oh boy they feel far away, and I’m looking at spring topics and summer inspiration…ha! Soaking up Arizona sunshine at the moment and helping friends house shop here. Peace to you.
I live in the Scottsdale area. First, the wind blows fine desert dust all over everything whenever the door opens. The outdoor areas require constant washing off of dust in order to be able to usable. Depending on the sun exposure, your outdoor areas/desert areas can be unusable. The big free-standing tubs take forever to fill and the water becomes lukewarm-to-cool while the tub fills. Generally, you are older to afford these homes, and it is difficult to climb in and out of the tubs. The tile floors are very slippery when wet. The huge kitchens take forever to wipe all the counters down, and that must be done every day (see dust above). These are just a few of the realities that take away from the “dream,” if you want this kind of home you must be prepared for a lot of work and maintenance. (Ask me how I know 🙂 ) This is not necessarily a deterrent – there is always an upside and a downside to every product. Love your blog 🙂

Great info for all of us who have yet to live in the area permanently, Lyn. Thanks so much for turning our attention back to reality. 🙂 Peace to you.
