Today, we’ll continue our tour of an amazing South Carolina property by Lisa Furey which consists of a main house, carriage house, and guest cottage. The guest cottage and carriage house are lovely with chic Coastal Cottage Interiors and plenty of design inspiration for lovers of: modern farmhouse, coastal, and cottage style.
Coastal Cottage Interiors – Part 2 {Get the Look!}
We recently toured the main house at this beautiful lakehouse in Palmetto Bluff in Part 1 HERE designed by talented designer Lisa Furey, and we scored ideas for getting the look for ourselves. Today, we’ll keep the tour going by stepping inside the guest cottage and carriage house which boast even more lovely moments of interior design inspiration.
I hope you’ll enjoy these sources for furniture, decor, and paint colors along with the beautiful designs created by Lisa Furey Interiors.
Do you love the board and batten, metal roof, and architectural details carefully considered for this project? The designer was inspired by a photo of a property she saw online, and she has yet to discover the architect associated with the facade. Should you have any ideas – do throw them out there!

Coastal Cottage Design
Furey says of the home: “I wanted to design something ‘Low Country Coastal,’ but not too beachy. The home sits on a lake across from a nature preserve so the views to the outdoors were the most important consideration.
Because the home is less than 2,000 square feet, I designed it with ‘open and airy’ in mind. My wish list contained vaulted ceilings, expansive windows, glass doors and floating stairs. Some of the key furniture is in place and the house is chock full of fresh design, hard wearing finishes and fabrics, space saving ideas and contains a few fun surprises!”

Here’s a snippet from the real estate listing: “Expertly sited to take advantage of the views of lake, park and conservation area, this charming compound was created with special attention to all details…A separate carriage house includes a second floor bunk room, kitchenette, and a deck overlooking the lake.”
Coastal cottage details: 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3,100 square feet, .5 acre
All of the light fixtures were handcrafted in New Orleans by Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights!

Coastal Cottage Paint Colors
Here are paint colors designer Lisa Furey shared about her home.
The exterior white paint color, interior walls, cabinetry, and trim are all the same color. It just happens to be the exact paint color we chose for all of our interior walls, trim, ceilings, and anything we could touch with our paintbrushes here at the fixer upper back in 2015.
Yep. Designer Lisa Furey obviously is a kindred spirit!
