Winter has a different flavor this year since I’m in the south where lushness blooms all year. Where is the grey and dormancy? Days are short, and skies do grow overcast now and then. But at home on the prairie in Illinois, I would be imagining growth to come, not inhaling beauty from palm trees, citrus, exotic desert vegetation, and beautiful flowers. This gallery and whimsy ahead tickles the imagination and plays with fantasy interiors with florals. With today’s finest designers bringing their creativity to FLOWER magazine’s Nashville Showhouse (October, 2025) along with top floral designers and stellar photography from Leslee Mitchell, maybe this heaven and nature will sing to you.

Interiors With Florals
“The FLOWER Magazine designer showhouse celebrates top talent from nearly all corners of the United States. It’s an interactive experience that brings the beauty of our brand to life and provides our audience with interior, entertaining, and floral ideas they can incorporate at home.” – Margot Shaw, FLOWER Magazine founder and editor-in-chief

Ariella Chezar as the showhouse’s Floral Chair, worked with local floral designers to ensure each interior with flowers included inspiring arrangements to further enhance the spaces.

FLOWER Magazine chose Nashville, Tennessee, as the location for the 2025 designer showhouse, enlisting 23 high-profile interior design firms to bring magic to this legendary Belle Meade home. (Have you visited Belle Meade? I found myself floating through a magnificent home there years ago with my sisters for a fancy party…such fond memories.)

Particulars on the home? A long winding drive leads to a six-bedroom, 11-bath home (built in 1999) with six lovely acres. Southeastern architectural firm Pfeffer Torode, along with Nashville-based Maker Construction, provided a newly renovated 20,000-square-foot canvas for the talent and dreamy floral designs.

You’ll also find a two-stall barn and riding trails on the country estate. The grounds were professionally landscaped by Nashville’s Kaiser Trabue.

Additional house features include a gourmet kitchen with scullery and wood-burning fireplace,

two luxurious primary suites, a salon with an adjoining wet bar, a wood-paneled study,

a formal dining room with a separate butler’s pantry, a generously sized screened-in porch with a stone fireplace,

and a waterfall pool and outdoor cabana.
