Summer Finds + Revisiting PATINA LIVING Book
Four Lovely Summer Finds
Ooh la la, what an adventure I have been on so far this year and this summer with health woes, rest, diet, and trying to find relief. Autoimmune disease is not easily cured, but here are lovely finds that contribute to restfulness:
I showed you the block print canvas pouch and oversized tote in the spring, but aren’t they preppy and vacation-like in my dressing room even without summer travel plans?

Our closet system (Modular Closets) has held up beautifully and spoiled me, and I wonder how I will leave it behind when we sell the place someday. A white linen robe is perfect for late summer lounging.

Have you tried colostrum or heard how it can be a healing superfood supplement for the immune system and gut lining?
I was so happy and grateful to get my hands on a sample to try. After two weeks of popping a dry scoop of the unflavored colostrum powder into my mouth daily, I can report only GOOD THINGS. I stay asleep longer and am noticing healthier hair and nails. My tummy is calm (and if you know me, this is rare). It has been years since I could remain asleep more than four hours! What impresses me about ARMRA colostrum too is the quick results for hair and nails. I have added collagen to my morning coffee for a year, yet I didn’t notice the dramatic improvement I have seen with colostrum. What a blessing!
PATINA LIVING by the Giannettis
Is this the perfect end of summer design book to cozy on down with out on the porch or patio? *shakes magic8ball*

I know how many of you admire the fine work of the Giannetti dream team. If you missed PATINA HOMES…good gracious, make sure you read it too!
In Patina Living, the designers followed their hearts, let nature be their guide, and allowed an adventure to shape them into something new.

WITHOUT A DOUBT.
Does your design library include Patina Farm?

Even though Steve and Brook moved from Ojai with their animals, some of us just can’t seem to let go.

All of the lovely Old World charm in this newly constructed home brought peacefulness to a young family’s adventure into slow.

For longtime followers, do you even remember when Patina Farm’s interiors were taking shape?

As we followed Brooke Giannetti’s journey on her blog (Velvet and Linen), each layer of the home’s construction and finishing details bloomed before our eyes.

Inside Patina Living is a beautifully photographed collection of images, recipes, and snapshots of organic California French farmhouse life.

Real Farm or Made Up Social Content?
In an age of inauthenticity, Patina Farm and Patina Meadow stand out with such transparency. If you are a longtime follower of Brooke Giannetti’s Velvet and Linen, maybe you remember how her blog chronicled adorable animal adoption updates. Goats, donkeys, sheep, dogs, cows, pigs and chickens continue to bring a fullness of life and meaning to the landscape.

Can you imagine caring for these creatures daily, beginning at the crack of dawn?
Or working at a desk inside as sweet goats frolic just outside your window?

Brooke and Steve’s vision of pastoral tranquility for their family bloomed into much more than a lab for their work. Their new life helped them to live more intentionally, and they longed to share their peace and paradise with others.

Modern European Country Bedroom
I could ramble on about how their aesthetic and lifestyle philosophies speak to my soul…how something truly set apart seems to color the work.

There’s a joy that comes with growing more rooted in a place that yields such abundance to your spirit.

Psst. Furniture such as the chaise above? Designed by Giannetti Home.

As I continue to journey with automimmune related chronic illness, I try to stay permeable to messages of hope and healing. While these sentiments were written years ago, maybe they will land on fertile ground now:

Gardens by the Giannettis
Curious about Patina Farm’s gardens?

Deep sigh! Aren’t they magnificent?

Tending to gardens, land, and animals (in Tennessee now) must keep the Giannetti family anchored in a place of wholeheartedness and gratitude.

I know a little bit about how landscapes affect us at deep levels. Not long ago, we called home a shady hillside spot where grass struggled to grow. Now, on the edge of a forest, sunlight easily kisses everything planted. It’s all growing, thriving, blooming, and flourishing…
In terms of the outdoors, here’s what Brooke says about the design process:

Modern French Dining Room
So many design elements to admire from the lofty ceilings to the limestone, plaster, and collected European antiques.

The lighting is divine, and the original art is by Steve Giannetti.

Window Seat Design
Would you choose to get literary or lounge-y with a gentle breeze here?

What a brilliant place for both!
Gardens at a California Home
While the interiors of Patina Farm were laid-back luxe, the outdoors could be described as lush!

Does the image above bring to mind Provence or a beautiful garden moment from the South of France?

Those pink sunsets remind me of the Arizona horizon I so adore.

We were so spoiled as followers to be treated to peeks of Patina Farm through the seasons!

When the Gardens Were Young
It only feels like yesterday the Giannettis were planting their gardens…it was nearly 15 years ago.

You’ll delight in Patina Living’s visual treasury of natural farmhouse beauty. Its golden warmth glows with timelessness, tranquility, and tenderness.
