How could we ever tire of the beholding of lovely white facades and their curb appeal? They are the perfect backdrop to green, to blooming gardens, to blue skies and fluffy clouds. This gorgeous collection of inspirational house exterior images won’t just soothe or assist with building or renovation plans, you’ll score ideas for white paint colors too.

Loveliest White Facades & Curb Appeal for Days
We won’t stick to a singular architectural style or design style in this roundup. Find pretty white cottages, muted stone, pale brick, and stucco. Did someone say stucco?

Oh goodness, you can’t discuss the prettiest white homes without honorable mention of Pamela Pierce’s Houston sanctuary above.
So many FB followers went cuckoo for this cottage with picket fence above that I think it got its own Instagram account and maybe hired a publicist.

Most of this design inspiration is classic or traditional in style, and in some cases, it’s surprising to learn the home inspiring is in fact a new build:

So much thoughtfulness in the design to arrive at such an established, 1920s look!
Paint Color Close to This Custom White
I can’t get enough of that Alabama home!

It’s interesting to note just how many folks are painting their brick homes white. The designer says the color she painted the brick and shutters above is close to Benjamin Moore Gray Mist:
Whites, pale greys, and green are such good friends when you’re after timeless sophistication.
I could also get used to this orangery:
Since our Georgian style home is wrapped in pale pinky-red brick, I’m always intrigued by white brick homes. I know it would suit me, but I will only make a change if we plan to stay a good long time.

Pale Stone Curb Appeal
I’m also a fan of muddy pale toned stone. Could it get any cozier?

Isn’t the door color reminiscent of a very natural stone found on a garden wall or ancient cottage?
Not that many lurkers will be driving by the curb of this Italian hillside villa with friendly blue doors!

Wonder what this home looked like before its color story became white?
It likely looked far more formal without the layers of white paint which now quiet it.
White Traditional and Classic Exteriors
The charm of the shingle style cottage above takes my breath away!

I hope these beautiful gardens are also inspiring your dreaming and scheming as they leave you beaming…
Goodness, I hold such deep admiration for ye who spend endless Saturdays with clippers and hoes, nurturing the earth and stooping in the mud.
What a gift you are to this planet, to your community.

There is just so much to learn about plants, trees, and ourselves as we dig in the dirt.
Far beyond curb appeal or the pride of stellar lawns…
is the flowing wisdom, the perfect peace, and the understanding as we commune with nature and serve her in ways we can serve.

You can’t help but be changed by an enterprise where buzzing things and blooming things in their purity and majesty remind our hearts what they so often forget.

Tranquil Neutrals & Timeless White Facades
You can’t miss how these pale shelters feel calming and quiet.
Understated elegance simply never feels tired or unfashionable!

And though white may be written off time after time as the choice of the cautious or the dull…
we can safely say that some safe bets are worth it.
Since when did “serenity now” ever fall from favor or become a dull prospect? There’s enough happening on and around the continent to dysregulate our nervous systems.

Thank you, kindly, but I shall skip the assault to my senses and welcome more serene white.
It can be daunting to choose paint colors even when you have make the choice to go for a neutral palette for the exterior.
With the vast number of white, beige, putty, and grey paint colors available, my inbox is always full with requests for consultation.

Psst. You don’t always have to paint brick to capture a pale look. This was the first home we built, and it was a challenge locating pale brick that we loved enough to leave as is without painting it:

So don’t feel hopeless if you’re the type who would never paint over brick.
White Paint Color Ideas for Exteriors
Benjamin Moore Simply White – Sample it HERE
I hope it helps you to see images of white houses where the paint color has been provided.

Benjamin Moore Simply White is a popular choice and used by designers and homebuilders who have earned our respect.

If you love the work of The Fox Group, I noticed they often choose Simply White for inside and out of their projects.

Simply White can hold its own for a variety of home styles:

Sherwin-Williams Alabaster
For a warmer white, consider Sherwin-Williams Alabaster (Sample it HERE):

The important step before deciding on a white is sampling at least three different whites and watching them throughout the day.

You’ll begin to see a white’s undertones surface when you view them together.

Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist
My interior designer pal, Sherry Hart chose Balboa Mist for this beautiful project with Ladisic Fine Homes, and the Atlanta home has broken the internet! Read a thorough deep dive into Balboa Mist in THIS.

Keep in mind that the best white for your home’s exterior may not contain “white” in the name.

Pale grey shades work wonderfully for exteriors since the sun warms and washes out the color.

Don’t forget to sample several whites even if you have decided on a particular category (off white, antique white, greyed white, bright pure white).

And just a reminder that even little things inside and outside of the house may be brought to life with a fresh coat of white paint.
