A bunch of ridiculous, one-off humor in the form of tweets as well as tender sentiments about relationships and human frailty along life’s awkward and absurd journey? Just feels right at this moment when many feel vulnerable and possibly overwhelmed with the pressures and frenzy of zee holidaze. I hope you’ll pin them liberally to spread the silly, share the heartfelt, and evoke laughter for the lonely or the hurting across the web.

Silly Tweets, Tender Expressions & Weekend Discounts
Good gracious, this is a big holiday weekend for sales and stimulating the American economy doncha know. Are you done? Have you started? I love this idea of creating natural gift baskets! Even if you don’t plan to DIY these – you may find it relaxing to view!
Done with gift anxiety, commercial trappings, overspending, excessive behaviors, and holy day cray cray? If you find this time of year tricky, I’m sharing a vulnerable reflection at the finish line. If you could use a few gift ideas, baby, you’re in business.
This tweet has my name written all over it!
Ya know? I am not one of those ‘let’s discuss the weather conditions and safe, mundane topics.’ I’m hopeless really. Hahahaha.
Please share all your secrets and wisdom for dealing with the struggle so perfectly articulated above.
Yes! The longing of every book-loving, cozy library corner adoring, nerdy homebody with a gorgeous imagination and an old soul.
These thighs used to be sized to accommodate more kittens, and the truth is, all thighs are perfectly created for kitten holding.
Knees need to seriously evolve! Goodness, they wear out so easily – what’s with that anyway?
It used to ruin my life more dramatically in my younger years, but I think one of the joys of aging is I’m less likely to feel as though I’m missing out. Ya know? Like when others say “where did the day go?” I’m more like, NEXT, please.
Isn’t that a wondrous way to put on a new mind and new eyes to see the beauty and treasure right under our noses?
I only wish I was the type who could miss more signals. Hahahaha.
This tweet might seem silly at first blush. But as I let it sink in, I think there’s something important it reveals. We really are okay beneath the defenses and baggage and culturally-bound assorted neuroses. There’s a place in us where we cannot be harmed, where it’s safe to just exist without producing, where opinions of us are irrelevant, where identity falls away, and we’re chill as hell. 🙂
My 50s have been good for sleeping well, but I remember the fog from antihistamines!
If you’re reading this, that blessing is just for you.
It’s like someone is spying on my innermost thoughts and ridiculous 2020s online behavior…
Isn’t that the truth? Heaven help me be more like those beautiful micropanthers.
What a journey it is! May we celebrate this perfect score!
Such a thoughtful, tender reflection about the end of a relationship.
I’m thinking of all of you good, good, golden souls, whether the twinkling lights of Christmas enliven your spirit or trigger an ache in it.
I’m no Grinch, but I can be a big ol’ mess inside. My heart swells, yet I just don’t come alive at Christmas or feel like a carefree kid as so many fine folks do.
There are moments where I sense the beauty and the holy in it all, but carefree? How to unhook and un-see the pain of war, poverty, inequity, hunger, greed, loneliness, neglect, and violence?
My wiring is ultra-tender; I’m prone to overwhelm. Prone to wander from the imperfect, disorderly, uncertain present with its embedded invitations to joy.
Holding the joy and sorrow together – the blessing and the curse – the paradox – is for me the most challenging spiritual work of a lifetime. Which is why things like cats, dogs, pets and laughter (Anne Lamott calls it carbonated holiness)…
and lighthearted silliness right here, right now can be a balm. Can be a doorway to redemption. Can free us from heaviness we were never asked to carry in the first place.
