They feel so fresh and life giving to me, and I think they often get overlooked in kitchens where we traditionally tend to think about ‘appetizing’ hues more than colors we simply feel good being in. As kitchens have become living spaces, we need to stay open to the range of possibilities. Thanks for reading!
I never felt I could do “blueish” colors well but now I’m being drawn more to them. Great inspiration photos and color suggestions!
BTW…love the recycled bubble glass ideas. To get that similar look for free, yes free!, ask a bar or restaurant to save their empty Patron tequila bottles. They’re beautiful pale green bubbled glass, come in various sizes and have a fun large round cork which is quite decorative in its own right. They make wonderful displays alone, grouped together and especially for putting simple wild flower arrangements in. 🙂

That is an awesome tip, Connie!!! I will look into those empty bottles – what a fun way to recycle! There’s just something magical about bubble glass or bubble anything for that matter. 🙂

Richard Shapiro’s home/garden in LA😱😳🤗WOWZERS!! So amazing!! Thanks so much for sharing that; I watched it twice! Love his idea of throwing his morning coffee on the paths of the garden for more authentic patina. I think I may try that this morning on my back covered concrete porch with whatever’s left over in the coffee pot that we don’t finish…and see what happens! Sounds fun 🤩 Love ideas 💡 like that!!

I love those designer/artist secrets too! Not sure you recall Leanne Ford fixing up her guest cottage not long ago and using her old coffee to rub on the walls to age them! She is “lazy” in a similar way that I am, and I just think of it as being cleverly sensible. 🙂 Natural dyes are so intriguing to me, and if you have ever used avocado peels for pink dye – it’s pretty rewarding! 🙂
