Cozy Spaces Anchored With a Rug
“One of the biggest area rug rules of thumb you should use, is to make sure you’re not choosing a rug that’s too small for your room. If you are someone with a rug smaller than you need, or if you fall in love with a smaller size rug, you can always layer it onto a jute or sisal rug that is the proper size for the room.” – Lulu & Georgia

LOVE, love, love, love, love Leanne Ford’s new home (& her)! Thanks SO for sharing her video, hadn’t seen! Next to YOU, she’s my fav!! Our kitchen/dining/living area layout as well as the setting off back of our home with deck surrounded by trees/woods is exactly the same…so I can glean MUCH inspiration, especially creating the minimal/calming mood for our interiors I so desire. She’s a MASTER of that! Awesome idea of mixing two marbles on counter and the story behind it! Love her out-of-the-box thinking & ANTI-cookie cutter home decor/atmosphere! She’s COOL with a capital C-O-O-L! Lately, been wanting to swap dressers in our bedrooms that have them with some type of unique/comfortable chair & ottoman instead. That’s something that makes a room more comfy PLUS seems much more useful for a guest than a dresser and can add that cool factor! Noticed that’s exactly what Leanne did in her bedrooms…so NOW, I will definitely do it! ha! Thanks for adding happy to my day, Michele!

And thanks for adding happy to my evening, Amy. I learned about Leanne’s work long ago from a well known stylist who I have been in touch with over the years. She had styled maybe Leanne’s first photo shoot and told me her sensibilities were a lot like mine and that I needed to immediately put her on the radar. Ha! What fun to watch this designer blossom and succeed and become well known! Thanks for sharing in the fun and being a student as I am. 🙂
