Happy New Year, friends! Glorious Holiday Decor to Pin & Inspiring Quotes celebrates beautiful Christmas decor and creativity from creators around the web. I hope you’ll pin them along with quotes that resonate. As I type this, there is a royal feast happening outside my window. I sprinkled homemade sourdough on the snow and around the trees for my woodland creatures. The cardinals came first. Then squirrels and crows. Even a hawk. What a treat to watch a chubby squirrel savor it, balancing on a rung of my arbor near our kitchen window seat. For me, it’s heaven. My house and spirit are calming as my thoughts turn to those of you who may be pondering the fresh year. I’ll have important secrets to share in 2022, but for now I wish you peace, right where you are.

I have always appreciated Anne Lamott’s grit and frequently grouchy, very real voice of love.
Ya know?
Maria of Dreamy Whites (above) always finds a way to make magic with simple things. Pretty sure there is fairy dust involved.
Quotes to Inspire & for Personal Growth
This is basically why therapy is worth your time and all the hype:
Pretty Decorating Inspiration for Christmas
Even without traditional Christmas bold color, beauty reigns…
The old weathered wood planks take my breath away.
The Season’s Sophisticated Simplicity
Give us bread, but give us roses, yes?
Look, mom, more therapy shortcuts to pin! (Not that there are truly shortcuts or substitutes for talk therapy, it’s just that a few wise teachers seem able to distill important lessons that take most of us years of work and healing to learn!)
Oh the texture and lushness and refined beauty!
Words of Faith & Wisdom
This is my prayer. We are all working so hard to move through the chaos of the 2020s, through relationship stife, through health battles. How can we yield to the Spirit’s moving in more life sustaining ways?
I honestly have few answers. But I know that by becoming softer and yielding, Spirit can move through us, through, the problems, through those hidden obstacles. I know that we can cultivate an inner landscape of beauty and become more permeable to the mystery.
For me, it is those daily rhythms and practices weaved into my ordinary life and labors that increase the beauty of such an inner landscape. I’m not doing any sort of creating by myself. Yet I’m participating; I’m open to an infinite source of love and flow.
Handmade Christmas Star Wonder
I’ll never tire of a Christmas star!
They’re so symbolic of guidance and light and presence WITH US as we journey, as we grow.
Are you looking forward to growing in 2022?
I wonder what familiar settings will be left behind to make space for new frontiers?

The stretching can be uncomfortable. Which is why we need wise voices to reassure that we can bend, not break.

Thanks so much for being here and for the friendship and kind words. Sending peace from my heart to yours. 🙂
Beautiful Christmas decorations, some are exquisite ! I will pin some for inspiration.
It’s sad how fast it all passes and here we are in the new year already… and I have to take all down for next year. It is such work decorating for such little time. I usually start dismantling my Holiday decor the 7th., after Kings Day Epiphany. I think I will start next Monday, little by little, lol..
Wishing you have a lovely and healthy New 2021 and many blessings.

Thank you kindly – sending wishes for prosperity and health your way as well. We took a short road trip, and it was so wonderful to return home to the innocence of my Christmas decor, twinkling lights, and soft snow falling. My heart savored it. This is what we must learn to do even better: lock up the sweetness of all the sparkle so it may live on even after it is packed safely away. xox
I love your words about looking up the “sweetness” so that it may live on long after all is packed away. We thankfully have some extremely lovely memories this year as we went on our first ever family Christmas beach trip the day after Christmas…so I’m doing just what you suggested. 😊Also LOVE the Sophie video…love her…and her accent…and her practice of giving away to those who like her things & think they are beautiful! I’d like to do more of that…spreading the love & the joy! Also enjoyed her story about the special sheets she loves that family friends had. Stories like that are so endearing. I remember doing a similar thing when I was younger …buying the same colored drinking glasses that my friend’s family had because I thought they were so cool just like my friend’s family! They always had the cool stuff! That was my small way of copying them! Ha! And Sophie reminded me of that! Blessings to you & yours in 2021! ❤️

Thanks so much, Amy, for watching and appreciating those things you mention – I felt the same way. Sophie has a grounded sensibility that has nothing to do with wealth. I love how she cherishes certain objects, and the sheets! Ha! I think that is a wise splurge – they are going to comfort her and make her smile every evening – what else gives a return like that!?! How wonderful you celebrated with a beach trip – I do have fond memories of a December in Hawaii, and I’d happily be there every winter! Sending love and friendship and gratitude for your companionship. xox
