Industrial style is on my radar at the moment as my husband and I help our son renovate his first home.* His favorite style is “rustic modern industrial” which is sort of a cousin to industrial farmhouse. So we’ll revisit Industrial Farmhouse Bedroom Design Photos and hopefully score some fresh inspiration.

In prior posts, we toured the main floor of a friends’ gorgeous modern farmhouse as well as its exterior. Today’s images are spare, unfussy, industrial farmhouse interiors on the second floor of this charming Barrington, IL home.

Industrial Farmhouse Bedroom Design

This beautiful farmhouse underwent a complete restoration and expansion in 2008 to become the modern treasure with industrial accents it is today.

Quality craftsmanship and thoughtful classic design throughout, the home was built to last. Refurbished and doubled in size, no modern amenity or detail was overlooked.

Location…this neighborhood in beautiful Barrington, IL, is surrounded by well-cared for historical homes. Each shines with a unique identity and point of view.

Labor of Love

Four Years of Perseverance…Nearly two years of deliberations with Barrington’s Architectural Review Committee marked the beginning of the lengthy process of bringing this modern farmhouse back to life. Another two years were required to finish the architectural work of art. Worth the wait, indeed!

Quality Finishes…From the exceptional quality of the architectural design (from Glen Ellyn architect, Jamie Simoneit, of Z+O architecture + interiors) to the discerning choice of rich construction materials, the bar was set high for this restoration and new build. With an eye to the future, the homeowners invested in durable, long lasting design elements.

Paint Colors for Interiors

The homeowners used two different grays from Benjamin Moore for the first floor. In rooms where there is less natural light or no natural light, it is often preferable to use a lighter shade.
