French Farmhouse Design: Provence Villa Photos invites your spirit and mind to relax and your physical senses to fill with the luxuriant timelessness and tranquility of South of France Country French beauty.
Why we’re venturing into this Lovelyland…It’s chilly here, and a storm is coming so I’ll run my errands before returning to retreat inside my cozy snow globe. I’ll notice the squirrels busily collecting a few more leaves to freshen and warm their apartments in the trees, and I’ll dream a little. I’ll dream of less extreme weather in the season ahead when lush green covers the landscape, the fragrance of fresh grass and rain lingers on the air, and sweet birdsong again returns to fill the ears.

French Farmhouse Design: Provence Villa Photos
Today’s tour of simple, French farmhouse beauty and inspiration takes us to a family owned South of France property with vineyards near the village of Cairanne. In addition to a main house (not seen here), the property includes converted stables and a Provençal villa with two wings.
2-Bedroom French Country Apartment Villa
In this wing, we find a two bedroom vacation spot which accommodates up to five guests. Neutral, natural, undone and unfussy, the bedrooms do not compete with nature’s splendor just outside the windows.
South of France Beauty
Why do so many flock to this region? The beautiful coastal inlets, charming villages, sunshine, laid-back lifestyle, ease of travel, hillsides to hike, friendly people, and inspiring landscape.

The Light in the South of France
Culture Trip says this about the blue light: “Through a combination of the wind, the high temperatures and the mountains, the sky turns a special shade of blue during the blue hourr. This light has been attracting artists for centuries, but even if you don’t paint or draw, it’s a magical time to have a coffee at dawn or a glass of wine at dusk and watch nature in all its glory. “
Reasons to Travel to Provence
If the pleasant weather and potential for relaxation aren’t enough to woo you, surely the architectural inspiration will! The Palais des Papes in Avignon (built over the 16th century by consecutive popes), Notre-Dame de la Garde in Marseille, the MUCEM building and Fort Saint Jean are all promising sites to experience.

It’s no wonder folks flock to this region of France to soak up the legendary landscape which inspired painters like the “Master of Aix,” Paul Cézanne.
Of Cézanne’s work, it has even been said that his subject matter in still life and landscape is examined “not from one but several angles, its material properties then recombined by the artist as no mere copy, but as what Cézanne called ‘a harmony parallel to nature.'”(source)
Hop in the Car for a Joy Ride!
On any given Sunday, my husband and I hop in his car or motorcycle and head for the country to soak in rural beauty. Do you do this too? It’s our time to dream, scheme, and even scream (if we need to vent…not at each other!). I’m so happy smart youTubers do the same across the miles so we can experience their scenic route.
I hope you are staying toasty warm and maybe even getting some home organization chores begun…need a little nudge? Read this story about a book that is not by Marie Kondo but that is a gamechanger for me RIGHT HERE.
