She makes entertaining a crowd look so easy, and maybe she is YOU since there’s at least one in every family and group of friends. 9 Perfect Gifts for the Hostess With the Mostess follows with holiday gift ideas for the cook/entertainer, leaning toward the practical yet including some splurges…and enjoy a few more gift guides from a few of my friends sharing their own gift guides!
Oh, that hostess with the mostess! She probably has a teeny crush on Martha and may have forgotten to renew her gym membership since she is way too busy creating a wreath from coffee filters for the dining room. If you have been to one of her gatherings, then you know she knows JUST when to refill your wine glass!

Ha! No one is giving Martha a run for her money here, Contessa! But I know my way around delicious food and am ever muddling through with a sense of humor and presence to my guests – they are worth it! xox
I am not much of a kitchen gadget person other than my cuisinart, crock pot and the mixer you have on your list. I am wondering what you think of the Instapot? Darling dessert plates. I am bookmarking those! And hot sauce is always welcome in our family! I am going to give that one a try! Thanks for joining us Michele!

Thank you for having me! I cook like an old school granny so I don’t rely on many machines. I don’t have the instapot yet – but since everyone I know is using it, I had to include it! I’m a crockpot girl, and the vitamix is something I didn’t think would appeal, but it’s so powerful and effective, I recommend that model to all!
Right on time! I needed this Michele!! I think I’ll order the Lenox bowl. THANK YOU !

Michele, I love all of your great hostess gift ideas! I have an instapot that I received last year for Christmas but have not used it yet, I am a little afraid of it. LOL. Love the photos of your sister andyou.

Thanks for the kind words, Elizabeth! I’m afraid too, but not just of instapots of machines! True!
My sister in law is one of those. She loves a crowd and whips up amazon no food. Just don’t get in her way, once she gets going.
I love to entertain small groups. Big parties stress me out. So, I stopped doing them once retired. Good friends, lots of vino and some delicious appys make for a fun, relaxed get together.
Please share any of your fav appetizers recipes! I’m always looking for new ones that are tried & true to try.

There’s so much I want to share and so little time for getting it all in pictures! I will try to get an appetizer post going as it truly is a wonderful theme. Peace on this last day of November. xox
What a great list! I love the candlestick and that cute house! I’ve also been tempted by the instapot like a million times and one of these days I’m going to grab one!! Thanks for sharing! Also… your cheese platter is giving me life! xx

Hahahaha! I had to include that instapot since everyone and their granny is talking about them – even though I have yet to give it a whirl. I am so happy to discover your blog and look forward to following your journey and reading you – you’re a fabulous writer! xox
