How is your summer going, friends? Any trips on the horizon? I may visit our son in Colorado this summer, and were it possible, I would fly the family to a European farmhouse getaway. Some fantasy browsing on Airbnb led to this summery thought: let’s wander for Decor Inspiration Under the Tuscan Farmhouse Sun.
If it’s okay with you, I’m whisking us away to a rustic farmhouse. We’ll travel to Italy but we just may have to soak up some Provence inspiration too while we are in the mood for all things aged, stone, and rustic countryside goodness.
Under the Tuscan Farmhouse Sun
Tuscan Villa La Collina
Did you hear that? La Collina was calling my name. “Beautiful independent villa obtained from the careful restoration of an ancient stone farmhouse that sits atop hill whit 360 degree views over underlying countryside. All facilities and shops are at 2 kms. Siena is at 29 kms, Arezzo is at 35 kms, while Asciano, the Crete Senesi and the Abbey of Monte Oliveto are 30 minutes away by car.”
Tuscan Villa Vignaluna
I’m ready to book a stay here…how about you? Believe it or not, this historic appearing Tuscan villa is new construction! “Villa Vignalunga is a magnificent Tuscan country house, located in arguably the most picturesque setting of Italy – the Val d’Orcia area of Tuscany. The setting is ripe with the astonishing rolling hills and the wine country that Tuscany is so well known for.”

Tuscan Villa Decor Inspiration in Umbria
If Umbria is calling, here’s an Italian villa gem called Casa Castalda. “Perched in the hills of the Niccone Valley in the Cortona area of Tuscany, with extraordinary viewsl, we have spent the last few years turning it into our dream house and hope you will enjoy it too.”

Right? I can be packed in 15 minutes, babe. xox
No trips for us this summer except vicariously through your Tuscan and French country photographic tours. Lovely! However, my sister is arriving later today for a week’s visit. We’re both excited! Because we live so far apart, we seldom see each other, but we’re in touch almost daily.

That sounds fabulous – enjoy your sister time. I cherish my own sisters and understand! 🙂
Breathtaking. The light is the biggest factor in creating that lovely, old world feeling. Is this the Gianetti style? Gotta get their book! Would love to build a home in this style.
