If you saw my post the other day, about the transformation of Drew (Property Brothers) and Linda’s Honeymoon House, you’ll know the Property Brothers tackled a 1921 charmer in LA. In just twelve weeks, they renovated the home, located in the Hancock Park/Windsor Park neighborhood of LA (purchased for $2.3 million) from top to bottom.
Lucky for us, many of the home decor items incorporated into the eclectically modern yet classic interior design are available to purchase online. (I think you’ll be shocked at how affordable most of the pieces they incorporated!!!)

Can we even imagine their living room without the bold green chairs? Here’s some interesting analysis from Color Psychology about the psychological significance of the accent hues the Property Brothers chose for this space:
“Green is a lively color, and it symbolizes renewal and growth. It is the color you see the most in the natural environment. So it is the color of spring, when everything comes to life. And it depicts the period when everything is alive and unrolling its natural processes. When you see something green you know it is alive, right? It also means balance, calm and harmony. So it is a great color to have around when you are trying to restart yourself after a hard day. It is the reason we feel so great when we are out in the open. We feel recharged and calm at the same time, filled with positive energy. It is the power of green, which manages to resonate without inner energy, rebalancing us. In chromatic therapy, green is used to sooth the soul and mind. It helps loosen the body, from a mental and physical point of view. It is an excellent remedy for states of anxiety and nervousness, helping a person to regain his emotional balance and inner calm.“
What do you think of these spaces in Drew and Linda’s Honeymoon House? Have you watched this episode yet?
I’m a little envious of Linda. Not only does Linda Phan get to live in this beautiful home, but whenever she is asked about the Property Brothers, she can fire back “YA, I’M A PHAN.” (You’re welcome.)

I watched the episode but I wasn’t that impressed with the decorated home. It looked very cluttered on TV (especially the patio). It looked better before they decorated–but the pictures you posted of the living room look great. They could use a little softness in the living room (too many legs on all the furniture.) Thank you for including the links for the decor items. It is very helpful. Happy New Year!
