Loving our Muse quartz counters! Is choosing a particular white quartz for counters really such a challenge? Like white paint colors, you might be surprised at how much they vary when you view them side by side. Some read light gray and others creamy. The veining’s color and density changes the look and flow of everything too. Whites have temperatures from very cool to warm to nearly yellow. This info along with photos of three VIATERA options I used is bound to help. It is a place to begin narrowing down favorites.

Minuet, Soprano, and Muse Quartz Counters
MUSE Quartz Counters
Muse from VIATERA is the white quartz in our DIY renovated kitchen here at the Georgian. Find a thorough review of it in THIS.

Don’t get me started on how tricky it is to capture good photos of white quartz for images here. Muse at my house tends to look washed out and flatly lackluster compared to how it appears in person.

For example, in this image above, Muse appears very subtle and even traditional. In person, it has more of a modern and bold look with large expanses of soild white and large scale veins.

Be sure to create a Pinterest board or save images to a folder of the options with patterns you prefer. Notice the similarities. Is it dense, delicate veining which seems to agree with you or veining with grand long veins and expanses of solid white?

To my eyes and senses, Muse feels much more modern than traditional with its pattern. The reason it can work so well in traditional kitchen settings is that the tension that exists when you place modern and traditional together can be pleasing and create interest.

How Does Muse Work Across Different Lighting Situations?
In terms of sheen, Muse is a highly reflective surface suggesting polished stone. This is a bonus for dimly lit rooms where you are anxious to brighten and lighten things up.

Considering Muse as a backsplash? It can make daily clean up sooooo much easier with its lack of grout lines and excellent durability since it is strong and not porous like stone.

Get a sense of how VIATERA’s Muse looks in high contrast design situations:
I need to devote more time to bathroom design and white quartz too!

If you are stumped about a backsplash material, common white subway tile is always going to work. There are a variety of different ways you can install it along with different size subway tiles if you are interested in something less traditional.

Do make the decision about which white quartz to choose BEFORE you get attached to any one backsplash option.

It is not prudent to become obsessed with a particular wall tile if you are planning to then try to match a quartz to it. While white quartz is fairly neutral, it is a huge investment. You can more easily change the backsplash someday, but slabs of quartz? A hefty investment.
Considering Creamy SOPRANO Quartz?
This color is the creamy white pattern we had installed in our snowbird house in Arizona. I reviewed it right here.

White quartz varies a lot! Soprano is a different animal than Muse.

Think soft, lyrical, billowy movement and understated softly subdued caramels and light grey veining.

What is the temperature of the white background? I would characterize it as a warm faded limestone color with soft brown undertones in the creamy white.

If your cabinets are cooler or brighter white, is it still okay to pair them with Soprano? Sure!

The contrast is still going to be subtle.

You can see Soprano contrast with a dark painted island above.

The photo with Soprano above looks as though there is a filter or light added in post-editing. Here’s an example with low light:

My Favorite White Quartz? MINUET
Details HERE about Minuet which explain why it’s a favorite of mine to date.

Countless reasons make it a fav, and we lived with it and abused it for seven years in a kitchen we DIY gutted and made over.

I often refer to it as a beautiful, Parisian-style, French bakery or chocolatier look that feels elegant and calm despite the busy veining.

Minuet is a beautiful option for bathroom vanities with its clean, bright, timeless appeal.

I love a quartz backsplash since it is so soothing on the eye as it continues on the wall.

White and grey cabinets are commonly paired with Minuet. However, a high contrast such as the below…

Not too shabby!

Psst. I put these exact bathroom faucets in our current primary bath.

Minuet may be the secret sauce if you are after a timelessly serene, understated European inspired theme.

I hope this helps in your search for the right material for your project. So much more info on my site about choosing quartz so do see THESE posts for more.
Peace to you right where you are.
