Continuing the magic of capturing the mood, romance, and chic of a Paris apartment we began here in Part 1. I loved living like a local and renting an apartment for a time in the City of Light. We also lived like dignitaries as guests in the palatial Park Hyatt Paris Vendome Hotel as you will see from photos and inspiration below. Adding Paris Apartment Vibes is especially helpful if you reside in a small space, but like the city, they are always a good idea.

PART 2: Paris Apartment Vibes
I loved this 603 square foot Paris apartment near Notre Dame, and PART ONE is right here to begin the journey to get the look.

11. Architectural Elements & Inspiring Views
If your space lacks Juliet iron balconies as most do – keep your eyes peeled at the flea market for architectural salvage pieces (gates, fences, exterior ornaments). Maybe you’ll find the perfect accent piece. (And don’t worry about the color since you can always tweak it.)

Below was our view from the apartment windows in the living room to the left. Those Haussmann buildings! Baron Georges Eugène Haussmann modernized 19th-century Paris with this style of design. All these centuries later, they remain such a thrill to the senses.

It was wonderful to have grocery stores, bakeries, and shops selling vintage wares just outside the door!

Would a beautiful art print like mine bring Paris to your room?

This gorgeous framed print has traveled with me to several homes now and looks gorgeous everywhere.
Spare Simplicity in a Dining Room
The dining room is open to the living area in this Paris apartment with a round dining table with simple chairs and a small desk with computer. A chandelier was accented with a gorgeous ceiling medallion, and the only wall decor was a large clock (both decorative and functional!).

12. Dramatic Chandelier
Whether you’re after “Marie Antoinette” or a more rustic Country French dining room, chandeliers add such romance and drama.

13. Ideas for WALL CLOCKS
It is becoming less common to see clocks on the wall so in a sense, they may echo a bygone era.

Even the replicas suggest history and can add French style.
14. French Inspired Chairs
Even though I consider them to be timeless, Louis style seems to drift in and out of favor in America. But we don’t mind since that means they can often be snagged for a song in the marketplace!

Here’s a friendly priced set:

For a modern acrylic Louis chair…these are the exact ones I own. We use them for extra seating when entertaining, and they can be brought outside for use too since they’re comfy and stackable.

Tiny Modern European Bathroom
I think the photos speak for themselves in terms of providing ideas for a stylish, functional bath that is teeny tiny in size.

I loved this bathroom in the apartment. Light, bright, and so efficient. The use of a small space was a testament to European ingenuity and style.

Petite & Chic Paris Kitchen
A tiny modern white kitchen with a view of beautiful rooftops, anyone? One of my favorite design details is the reflective flooring – it may appear black, but it is navy blue.

View from the kitchen window was enchanting and a glorious contrast from the sleek modernity of the kitchen fixtures.

Wine as decor in a white kitchen? Why not! Storage is in short supply.

More Charming Parisian Moments
Parisian bistro tables and chairs are such iconic eye candy. I saw the little recycled blue yogurt pots (below, on table) used as vases everywhere and brought home as many as would fit in my suitcase. It’s interesting that I snapped the photo below in 2012, before succulents were EVERYWHERE in the USA.

Yes, you can create Paris apartment vibes at home…this is Northern Illinois on the prairie, doncha know.

The quiet beauty of the architecture and the pristine moments everywhere were intoxicating.

Steel Windows in Paris
Another gorgeous window and completely different…industrial steel windows (below) that feel modern and work with any number of design styles. They are often custom if you are in the market. If you read my post highlighting Chateau Domingue, you may recall they offer these custom made thin steel beauties.

Window Hardware
Is there anything quite like old hardware – functional art work to enjoy everyday?

The windows in our Park Hyatt Paris suite were nothing short of sublime. Gold leaf was applied to the wood, and the sheer covering is gold silk. The bronze hardware on the windows is fine art by Rosaline Granet.

Luxurious Marble Bathroom
In the hotel room’s bath, there are numerous elegant design details to note! Creamy honed marble, gold-toned hardware, and Blaise Mautin toiletries.

Mahogany and Gold
More gold leaf on the woodwork, rich mahogany panels, velvet pillows in taupe and apricot, and minimal Vaughan sconces spotlighting evocative bronze Rosaline Granet sculptures flanking the bed.

Here is a wood floor pattern that blew my mind in a hotel particulier we visited.
