I hope your day is beautiful right thru the weekend. I pin your entire posts all the time but I am looking hopelessly for a particular picture what I believe was your completed entry way table that replaced the marble topped dresser. You had two vintage brass deer sitting on it. Your gorgeous mural is in the background. At first I thought you were crazy to replace that stunner of a dresser until seeing your completed post. What a beautiful restful moment you created. Believe or not it was the two deer that hit me hard. And I am an Antiques dealer full time for 20+ years. I thought wow I would love to find those fabulous deer but what are the odds. Long story longer, recently my beloved Aunt passed away and while taking care of her estate I found a box in her storage room with those two beautiful deer wrapped in the bottom of a box. They are fondly now on my fireplace that I greet every morning and help my heart heal from the loss of her. Thanks so much for your fantastic (and my all time favorite) blog.
What a gift to discover those deer, and I have goosebumps just imagining your delight and surprise in uncovering them after being charmed by them here. They are so special, and I am not surprised they found you like they found us (we discovered them in Franklin, TN at an antique shop where we kept an eye out for something fitting for the entry). Thanks so much for reading and taking time to share something so touching. I am just sure your aunt is tickled and so pleased that her treasures are with you. We have so many deer who visit us daily here, and aren’t they just the gentlest, most beautiful creatures?
