These days I am packing, moving, and confronting all the “stuff” which is overwhelming for sure. Somehow you begin to see your belongings from a different perspective when you must decide “keep, sell, donate, or toss?” I’m frugal and tend to use things until they are threadbare, and one of the bonuses of a move is newfound motivation to get more organized and let go of what is worn out. This roundup of home decor below may include something you’ll need so I hope you’ll play along! 20 Under $25 Frugal Finds for Home+ Uplifting Quotes is a roundup of the curious, the practical, the chic, and the unexpected as well as encouragement.

I can’t get enough of wooden handled brushes, so I’m picking those pot scrubbers. Is this insane or what!? I love standing at the kitchen sink with my hands on the hot soapy water looking out the window to the bird feeder and washing and scrubbing the dishes. I just find it peaceful, relaxing and gratifying. Thanks for sharing these perfect finds…..the linen covered tissue box cover deserves some love too.

Not insane! Hahahahaha. I am exactly the same about wooden handled brushes…we need a club! Beyond my kitchen windows are the sweetest birds, squirrels, butterflies and trees – it fills my heart with joy. Thanks for reading, Marilyn!
I just want to say that I LOVE your blog. I always look forward to opening it up every day. You have the perfect mix of decor, style, fashion and extras…oh and those quotes! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve sent them on to my friends! Thank you for uplifting me each day. I hope you have a wonderful day 🙂

Hi Nancy! You’re a ray of sunshine in my grey day – thank you, kindly for reading and for the kind words. 🙂
Michele,
Thank you sweet friend. I did come home safely and have enjoyed be back in the warm weather, but miss my grand kids. I love all of your inspirational ideas. I especially like your DNA results. That was the best. You are too much.
Have a lovely week.
Hugs,
Bev

Hahaha – thanks for playing along and joining me with such a gracious heart. Peace to you, Bev.
I love how you always find such beautiful and interesting things for us! Also, that gorgeous wall stencil is still on my list – I just need to get up the energy to actually think about stenciling that wall behind my bed. Thanks so much for sharing all of this with us at TFT – I’m always excited to see what you have to share and to get my burst of soothing energy. xo

Thanks, Pam! Yes, you must be in the right mood to tackle a whole wall of that stencil – you might just start with a canvas. I bet you’ll love it so much, you won’t be able to stop stenciling and will keep going. 🙂
Michele,
You can’t go wrong with a great chocolate chip cookie. My compost pile is coming along nicely. I have not put in any wood chips. I do have leaves and compost from the kitchen. It is amazing how much you can compost. I am so excited for it to become great soil. My favorite saying is “… DNA results -Danish Butter cookie from Costco” too funny.
Hugs,
Bev

Glad to hear it – and also giggling at the cookie/compost/Costco trifecta mentioned here…hahahaha! 🙂
I keep meaning to get “The Little Tern” (I know I’d love it) as you have mentioned it so often over the years I have enjoyed your blog…plus I love birds in general! Speaking of…have you seen the movie “Penguin Bloom”? About a bird (magpie). We just watched the other night…a real tear jerker but so worth watching! Also, love the mini amber glass bottles for hand sani!

You’ll love it. That movie sounds lovely – I’ll check it out when I return home tomorrow. The desert sunshine has been so wonderful and lifegiving! Thanks so much for following along, Amy.
I used a number of these at a salt subsidize my local area. I actually liked them, but they sold out quickly after our session, so I turned to Amazon for a group and was delighted to seek out this variety pack of shapes. You’ll use these as soap/deodorant otherwise you can just heat them up in an oven or cool them down within the freezer and hold them for therapeutic effects. Nobody has mentioned this soap on any blog. Many thanks for sharing your ideas with us.
