Country French Kitchen Design Ideas: Reclaimed Chicago Brick
There’s something romantic as well as sensible about incorporating reclaimed materials in new projects. This Chicago girl happens to love the rosy tones of Chicago brick, and the material plays a starring role in this French kitchen.
Wait until you see the magic that happens when copper accents are paired with the material!

I also appreciate how the designer had the forethought to snap photos of the kitchen while it was under construction. It is always helpful to see the process!
For example, here’s the reclaimed Chicago brick before the mortar.

The brick was also used as a design element for flooring and accents.

The Chicago brick was also used as a backsplash and continued to the ceiling on the sink wall…dramatic and certainly a source of glowing warmth!

To create this magnificent custom cast stone vent hood on site, the material was sprayed on.

Country French Kitchen Design Ideas: Fresh Greenery
Here’s a kitchen decorating idea I need to apply much more in my own home.
Truly there’s nothing like living with very much alive plants and greenery flourishing in the kitchen.

Country French Kitchen Design Ideas: Rustic Wood Beams and Flooring
While you may rightly refer to this Country French kitchen as a ‘white kitchen,’ you can’t miss all of the rugged wood that keeps it from crossing over into froufrou land.
See it where you look up, look down, and sit down!

Country French Design Ideas: Pastel Accent Colors
It is a kitchen which seems perfectly suited for quiet, faded, timeworn accent colors such as blush and aqua. The rosy hue of the brick is repeated pleasingly in soft pink whispers.
Aren’t the tones in this runner lovely?

Paint Colors in Country French Kitchen & Laundry Room
Additionally, the paint color on walls and cabinetry in this kitchen is SHERWIN WILLIAMS Alabaster.

Alabaster was also used in this beautiful home’s butler pantry/coffee room, along with Sherwin Williams Uncertain Gray for trim.

How sweet is this little gem of a space off the kitchen which could function for any number of purposes beyond storage?
I’m thinking in my next home, I’d also love a wee little office with a door, tucked away near the kitchen.

Country French Design Ideas: Laundry Room
Had to share peeks of this laundry room in this home since it truly illustrates the beauty of that reclaimed Chicago brick used as flooring.

SW Alabaster certainly seems to be a well-used paint color. I like it! And only one word to describe the entire scenes you’ve shown: Lovely! <3

So happy you enjoyed! I need to devote an entire post to Alabaster for sure! Wildly popular. 🙂
Please let me know the color of the exterior paint. Just the color i’m Looking for.

It’s actually not painted. The home is brick and covered with hand applied stucco (called a brick slurry) in a custom tan. The color looks similar to Sherwin-Williams Alabaster or Benjamin Moore White Sand. You might try samples of those. 🙂
What is the product used to create the cast stone hood. Says it is sprayed on?
