New Hand Lettering Book by Amy Latta
I’m just so grateful there are gracious, talented souls like Amy who invite us to creatively express ourselves, smile wider, and hold our hand as we learn to whimsically make marks and be changed in the process.
Hahahaha. #CrunchesVsNaps could become a thing! Personally, I am better at crunching chips than killing any ab workout. But I do love me some cute activewear for crunchin’ of all kinds! My sister turned me on to high quality tights from Athleta, and when they have pockets? Yes, please!
Encouragement & Laughter to Ease Daily Woes
Oh I was sooooo there as a parent! I even had a few secret weapons for keeping the peace. One of them? A freaktastically nubby GERTIE BALL.
They’re velvety soft, lightweight, and pebbly perfect for redirecting playful kids of all ages! BONUS SECRET WEAPON: In a pinch, should you find yourself Gertie-less, an impromptu game of balloon volleyball may indeed come to the rescue.
Ha! I can’t say I see much of myself in Snow White, nor have I ever whistled while I worked. House cleaning work for me is a tad more pleasant when it becomes a quiet, fragrant experience, and this collection helps:
I remember a club with avacado and baconnnnnnnn…
Hand Lettered Sentiments & Smiles
So many smiles within the fonts and wordy playfulness tucked artfully inside creative dynamo Amy Latta’s new book celebrating humor!
Oh how I love my Yeti mug!!! Keeps cold things cold and hot things hot. Received it as a gift so I can testify: it makes a perfect gift, y’all.
The reference above to socializing reminds me how much introversion humor has been on the rise. Noticed this? T-shirts with variations of “Sorry I’m late, I didn’t want to come” and hoodies like this one below are everywhere.
As if we needed another excuse! BTW. Everything–even non-cake things–I put on this pedestal I own becomes *shazam* instantly more special and appetizing.
Express Yourself With Hand Lettered Art!
Because boundaries and self-care matter…yes?
Not gonna lie. There are days I want to blow up our house because I feel overwhelmed by the long list requiring my attention. If you have a housekeeper on payroll to keep your sanity…right on, mama, right on. And if you choose to get mindful about housework and tackle tasks meditatively, without being in such a freaky rush…hello lovely, zen mama.

Keep Calm & Create! That’s me. I get very antsy when I’m away from my studio for more than a couple days! The whole muffin/cupcake relationship is pretty interesting too – we tend to say cupcakes aren’t good for you but muffins are healthy even if they’re chocolate chip muffins 😊

Muffin debate – yes – so true, and the only muffins I can have right now are NOT delicious since I can only have a little fat. I’m workin on it though because baking is therapy for this girl. xox
