Yes, please! French country used to feel fussy to me but this doesn't. It's just the right amount of country, rustic and contemporary. Have a great weekend, Michele!
Since she changes her own home frequently, I would love to see how it looks now. Maybe we will see her current changes in Milieu or Veranda soon. One of the things I learned from her was how she very seldom uses accessories and they have to be real objects not the latest fad pieces. Being minimal on accessories is hard for me to do but I always think of her when I get too many objects on a table. Absolutely love her style.
I know. I need to brainstorm a way to just stop by and peek inside (what if i trick or treat in Houston this Halloween? I'm the size of a 3rd grader after all.) hahaha. It's pure pleasure to study her designs! xox
As she's a Houstonian we all know & love her work. I agree with her about the soothing color palatte when you have worked all day on colors for different clients. Our own home require a restful place to just sit.
hi marsha! yes! i don't even work with colors and prints and still i need to white to feel like myself and at home. i even lived this way when we had babies! 🙂

I am trying to achieve a great french country look but it seems that whatever off white I pick, it just doesn’t look like the colors in her home. Does anyone have any great suggestions? I don’t have a lot of natural light in the house even though I live in florida
Hi Catherine. Pamela Pierce’s home is magical for sure, and I wish there was a formula. Finding the right white paint color can take time, and sometimes it’s not even a color with “white” in the name. Pam’s rooms leave plenty of space for the eye to rest and the balance of rustic and elegant (and old and new) is just right. Pam’s floors are beautiful aged warm wood which is so lovely with white. It might help to focus on “neutrals” rather than just filling your space with white. A beautiful mirror can do wonders bouncing the light around when natural light is minimal. Email me with pics if you like. 🙂

Her walls are Venetian plaster. They are really not a color. That’s where the warmth comes in.
I hope that helps.
If there is paint involved, it is likely a custom color. Many times what appears to be painted brick is a slurry or custom finish. Search white paint colors in the search box to get ideas for a place to start.

So true! a great mix with contemporary and rustic so it doesn't get too fussy! 🙂
