If you admire British design, cottage coziness and English holiday feels…

you’ll discover plenty to love in this collaboration!
So charming!
I can think of at least four places this sweet side table could go in my own home.
I’m a fan of buy once, cry once timeless furniture, and for their beauty, I don’t even think you’ll be crying too hard.
Isn’t it lovely?

Furniture & Decor Designed by SARAH SHERMAN SAMUEL
To get familiar with the work of designer Sarah Sherman Samuel, peek inside her world in this Magnolia Network series I have watched and re-watched:
How would you describe her warm, modern, natural, California-inspired whimsical designs?

There’s a playfulness for sure, and as an artist, she comes up with innovative ideas and shapes for any number of things that feel otherworldly. (Have you seen a range hood shaped like the one above anywhere before?)

While her focus is bespoke design in most cases, fortunately she also offers furniture and decor through Lulu & Georgia.

What’s helpful is how you need not have a huge budget…there are objects designed by Sarah you can pick up for under $30.

I love how she mixes dramatic natural marble with understated cabinetry and modern art pieces, and it all feels luxurious but very livable.

Playful & Whimsical Design from Lulu & Georgia
There’s something very playful and youthful about how she plays with geometrics and throws a curve into nearly every design.

Isn’t that ripple chair imaginative?

I’m also a fan of how Sarah takes an unfussy approach to furniture design and lifestyle.

It’s a very spare look, but not a sterile cold one.

If you love a repetition of squares, I bet you’ll see that common thread too along with squiggles and wiggly shapes.
The overall look refuses to take itself overly serious, but it is seriously sumptuous and comfy!
Notice how that sofa cushion on the end is hugging the curved line of the base.

She has so much fun playing with scale, and I’m not sure I have ever seen a skinny long bolster pillow quite like this one above.
There are plenty of MCM references, and I can imagine how well Sarah Sherman Samuel designed pieces work with vintage Midcentury ones.

Sarah’s wrinkle vase seems just right to add to tabletops that need a sculptural accent.
So pretty on a vanity or console!

Peace to you right where you are.
